We have bought 4 of these locks in the past. 1 worked. 3 failed. That's a 75% fail rate. That 1 did work shows we know how to make it work. At least once. We must attribute the 75% fail rate to bad engineering. Or bad workmanship. Or something... If 1 success out of 4 is acceptable to you, then, yes, go ahead and roll them dice.     • Can’t just push the lock up to lock it
I love everything about the lock BESIDES how you can’t just push up the lock to lock it. I use the key when I’m in a rush and it’s annoying to have to turn the little thing up to lock it

    • Easy and simple to set combination
I wanted a combination lock that was simple to use. My application is just to discourage curiosity, not to create a bank vault. The price and ease of use particularly suited my application. The key for back up is a very nice feature.

So me and my smart 18yr old just graduated honors student could not figure out how to set our own combo. I mean key works, 2 locks, same key opens both but the combo lock is great if no one around you is smart enough to know 0000 is standard. I mean I bought a lock diary 20yrs ago and standard combo was 0000. So if you want to use combo part, either be a lock smith or just use key arnd the dummies ... show more
