Ordered this to husband's defined requirements. I asked the question about where it was made and got 2 answers saying USA, but they weren't really sure. However, when we got it today, the box says "Made in China". We know that many US companies have products made in China, We were hoping for US made. Hubby put it together and mowed our wee bit overgrown backyard, and he likes it! We have a lot that is downhill from the front curb. It was difficult to get the gas powered mower down all the levels of the backyard. This one we got just for the back yard. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, feels like a toy, but runs great with some power. Love not having to worry about battery charging, battery life or weight The handle adjustment is perfect. The grass catcher is wonderful. He says it is really good all the way around. He had plenty of power cord on hand to reach our two back levels. If he is happy, I am happy. We may update as he uses it this summer. It fits perfectly in the patio storage box we have. Right now, it is just what he requested, and he is happy.😊 ... show more

The mower is good, lightweight, does the job, etc., but mine worked for two times and had to return it to Amazon. ALM said they don’t have replacements now so my warranty couldn’t be processed; decided to return it and now I’m looking for something new for my lawn. The worst downside is how often it gets clogged when you are mowing. Then you need to stop and either open the basket access and remove the grass by hand or turn it upside down to remove the grass from the blades. ... show more

Does it work? Technically yes. Is it worth it? I'm still not sure. I purchased this because my old gas mower pooped out on me and I wanted to save some money. It's plastic and feels like one of those toddler child cars you get at toys r us. You cant get more then 5 ft before having to adjust and pivot slightly and go in reverse. Its like vacuuming. Usually I can go 40 ft and then turn around and come back....not the case with this one. Think like your vacuuming the grass. It's in all different directions. Normally I can do my whole yard and empty the bag 2x. With this I emptied it about 9 times, no joke. At least I don't have to buy gas and it surprisingly quiet. The grass doesn't really hold much in the bag anyway...definitely not a mulcher and you have to rake afterwards and still use and edger or weedwacker along edges and fence lines. Also, the yellow handle that is supposed to fit into the bag to hold the grass does not attach at all and falls out alot. Uneven ground is very difficult and my grass wasn't even that long. Basically if you have a really small yard then it would be fine. Anything over 1000 Sq ft is a bit much. Still not sure I'll keep it. Maybe on hand for emergencies. ... show more

After my electric mower of 15 years died, I opted for this unit without doing a lot of research. I was not ready for the toy-like aspect of the machine. Literature says it weighs 20# but feels more like 12. Despite its appearance, it did a GREAT job. My front and rear yards are 1200 sq ft each. I use the mulch feature. Good power for longer grass. Only downside is that the height adjustment is difficult to move. Very tight. Feels like it wouldn’t be wise to change often. ... show more
