  • Useless
Since this product has been ordered in 9/24/2022, and deliveered back in 9/29/2022, this products has never been started. During this difficult days I have contacted to a seller BT-Smart agent Mr.Basil Aza in Georgia and we have tried to fix it but still not fixed it and has been sitting down in my garage. In the meantime I have bought ASURION 3 years Lawn and Garden Extended Protection Plan. How can I handle this problem? ... show more

  • Love this electric riding mower
Product is great. Has enabled me to mow my lawn in under an hour whereas it used to take 3 hours with my previous push electric mower. The seller was great to work with, very responsive and flexible. I recommend this product and the seller.

  • Not completed
I dislike the fact that I still have to finish printed together before I can try it out. I don't have a steering wheel as yet.

  • Boat anchor
Bought the 54” zero turn mid-June 2021. Early-June 2022, the blades starting shutting off with 40% remaining. I called Ryobi for service and they gave us our local service center. I left messages at the service center a few times and they never called back. Grass is getting out of control so I called Ryobi again. Now they tell me I’m a few days beyond our warranty. Yeah, because I’ve been trying to get your service center to return my call!! Ryobi offered the canned apology and invited me to trailer it up to a different service center further away to “see what they can do”. The service center fought for me and got the batteries replaced for free. Fall 2023 the batteries started doing the same thing. I figured I’d pick the fight back up over the winter. Fast forward to Spring 2024 and blades are shutting off again with 30% remaining and now 40%. I have to mow my yard in 2 separate charge cycles. Called Ryobi and they told me “the batteries only have a one (1) year warranty and are only warranted from your ORIGINAL purchase date in 2021”. Huh??? I even asked if they would credit me $1,000 and I would convert this mower from garbage lead acid batteries to lithium iron OR credit me $5,000 for my whole mower and I would spend $2,000 of my own money to buy Ryobi’s now upgraded Lithium Iron battery mower (call me stupid for offering to throw good money after bad). I got a solid “Nope” with no discussion. So now do I spend $1,000 for new set of lead acid or “deep cycle” batteries that will last… yep, 1 year? Spend $1,500 and numerous hours to convert to Lithium Iron? Or do I drag this worthless boat anchor to the recycle center to at least get $35 for the batteries and scrap metal? I’ve heard jokes about Ryobi using the public as testing grounds before rolling an item out under their Milwaukee brand. Affirmed. ... show more

  • PLAN TO MOW OFTEN
Purchased in November 2019. Delivered in Mid-December to our new home. I did not start using it until February or March 2020. Seemed OK at that time. As time went on, I came to realize several things. You can’t wash this baby down with water because it could damage the electric motors, etc. You cannot mow when the grass is even slightly wet (not powerful enough). So, I had to hope we didn’t have a really long rainy spell and I had to plan to mow in the heat of the day so the grass would be dry. When I contacted customer service, I found I needed to take the mower to an authorized service provider. Then, I discovered that Home Depot was the closest and that they didn’t actually do the service. Searching a little farther from my house, I found a mechanic about 30 minutes from me, but he had never serviced one. He found out that my only option was to mow slowly when I encountered too thick grass. They basically told him the mower can’t compete with the power of a comparable gas mower. Summary first: If you like cutting your lawn 2 to 3 times a week, then this is the mower for you. Like they advertise - no gas or oil to mess with. Big plus. Pros: (1) Well constructed. Even with my 215 pounds sitting on it, it does not flex much over uneven terrain. I believe I can probably get 2 hours or more out of it with new batteries. (Only time will tell how long that lasts.) (2) I have just over 10 hours on it according to the meter and I don’t see any issues with the blades as some have mentioned, but my yard is pretty clean. I haven’t noticed any issues with the light deck either. (2) Maneuverability is pretty good, but it does to appear to put a lot of force on the front wheels when you turn as sharp as you can because they don’t remain verticle, and I am concerned about how long those front spindles and bearing will hold up. (3) I suppose it is quieter than most riding gas mowers, but the first time I was out, my wife said it sure was loud (with blades turning). Cons: (1) Way, I say again, WAY under powered. I expected the blade motors to be able to handle anything a gas engine could handle since typically electric motors are capable of generating a lot of torque. These don’t. My little 20” battery push-mower revs up the blade speed when it encounters a little tougher grass. (I wish they could send me some stronger motors for the blades, or upgrade the software to include the blade speed control adaptation.) (2) As mentioned by others, the seat could be more comfortable. (3) This thing is really heavy! If you have soft spots in your yard, you are going to make ruts in the yard. I’ve already noticed that where I hit the same path, like going around shrubbery beds, etc, the grass is getting packed down into to a path. (4) Battery life and the cost to replace them is also a major concern. I just hope the batteries will outlast the not-so-great 1 year warranty. Even my little 40V battery is guaranteed for 3 years. Maybe the battery warranty should be tied to the hours used, since there is a meter to monitor that. (5) The charge meter stays nearly full most of the time, and I had little warning when the charge was almost out. I think it makes a signal, but I didn’t hear it. I just realized it was not cutting well any longer and checked the meter and it was low. (6) It pretty much takes 12 hours to recharge, whether I used it for an hour or 2 hours. ... show more

  • Trailered mower to closest center (38 miles) after calling th, only then to learn they don
Really like the mower (purchased from home Depot) . It is a well-engineered product. Except maybe the battery system. Used it for mowing 1 acre, until batteries failed at about 1 year (supposed to last 4-5 years, but only 1 yr warranty). So far, customer service has been terrible! No response after 3 weeks!! 2nd closest service 42 miles, has NEVER seen an electric riding mower. Will take 2+ months to repair!! ... show more
