Equipped with a durable 201cc OHV YARDMAX engine with automatic choke system for an easy start, no priming or choking required. This mower features exclusive and industry leading continuously variable transmission (CVT) offering superior speed variability which allows you to mow at a suitable and comfortable pace, adapting to your walking speed. Cut the lawn to your specifications with 7 cutting positions from 1.38 in. to 3.55 in., using a convenient single lever. The 8 in. front wheels and 11-in rear wheels offer smooth rolling and reduced vibration. All wheels are equipped with double ball bearings and exclusive aggressive spiked tread rubber tires for an increased traction and maneuverability. The MaxFlow volute deck is designed to keep grass clippings airborne longer for superior mulching or for flowing into the rear bag when needed. Out of the box easy to set up. Not brain surgery. Adjusted the handle, added the oil, added gas and set wheel hight less than 10 minutes. First crank took 3 pulls with no fuel priming. Put the gear in 1st gear for test cut. Found the speed to be good. 2nd gear speed was still good. 3rd gear was the right speed for me. Self pulling strength was excellent. Backing up was easy. Turning corners was smooth. I'm guessing the review that said the turning was difficult was by someone who didn't know how to turn a self propelled mower. I found absolutely no issue with turning. I can't really give a good review on the cutting as my yard was a bit overgrown with winter growth but I will say that for what I was asking it to cut, I was happy with the results. Once I get it all cut down and get a few cuts done, I'll add more on the quality of the cut. I don't use the bag so I can't review that part. I prefer the grass to stay on the ground. So after my first cut, which was only about half my yard, I have to say this machine is well worth the price. ... show more

Customer service just emailed me and told me I’d have to choose a place to work on the mower and then submit a prepaid bill for reimbursement after a detailed explanation of why I wanted my money back. I don’t think that’s really a warranty. Thats shooting craps on the expectation they will stand behind the product at all. Its pretty obvious that they know this is a turd on wheels. Terrible experience. Short of calling this a number of acronyms - I’ll just say I’m glad that I didn’t get rid of my 25 year old Troybilt when I bought this. I’ve already gone through customer service once and actually paid for parts cause I thought - well maybe I hit something other than a pine cone that broke a piece underneath. Nope. This mower will not do. Purchased March of 2023 had to reach out to them for warranty and parts - was offered whole drive assemblies which I didn’t need and purchased an under chassis shield I found cracked along with a spare blade. The rear door springs for the bagger keep popping up every time I try and pull the bag and put it back. Had to alter the springs to fit behind the bolts on the handle mount to prevent them from snapping my fingers when removing the bag. One side of the rear door - hinge post has broken so the door will have to be replaced - I’m not paying for it. The shield the covers the belt and pulleys has broken and allowed debris to get into the pulley area even though I was blowing it out and washing it out after each use. I was worried after I read the negative review's. This lawn mower arrived earlier then scheduled. It was in great shape when it arrived. it was easy to assemble. The gas tank was sealed. They sent a bottle of oil to get it started. My husband checked every nut and bolt. Machine was in good shape. Started on the first pull. This was his first self propelled mower. Works great on 1st speed. Trim mowed our yard. It did a great job. It shut off when the oil got low. It is heavy than other mowers. It cut and bagged our grass. Easy to clean with hose attachment. I ordered a spare blade from Walmart. My husband said its better than he expected. Amazon had the best pricetoo. ... show more

Looks to be built to work, we will see. However I would recommend you get 2 M8 x 50mm Hex Head Screw Bolts (amazon sells them) to replace the very cheaply made and on mine fully stripped right out of the box handle bar bolts. This size perfectlty matchs up up and tightens with the hand screw tightners that come with the machine. Machine did start up on 1st pull after adding oil and gas, so will see how it works on lawn UPDATE: I have used it to both cut grass and p/u leaves 3 x now. It has performed as advertized with no problems what so ever. I went back and read all the negative reviews and here is what I found with my mower. I called c/s about the above issue, and they immedialty send me two new bolts for the mower, no issues at all. This is a $350 mower, if you want what maybe better, then spend $700 and up on a Honda, Toro etc. It is not built to be abused. But with normal use and care should last a while. This mower starts on 1st pull & has plenty of power to suck up leaves grass etc. The mower's self propelled works fine, takes a little getting used to. I do not suggest shifting it on the go or pushing it past it's limits, disconnct self propelled when turning .The bag has to be placed on hooks, simply takes a second or to longer to attach it, when attached correctly it holds , collects grass, leaves just fine. The mower may be heavy for some, but pushs freely when not in gear. I am quite satisfied with this mower, I know I got what I paid for. ... show more
