  • Cuts grass
Unsurprisingly, this lawn mower does in fact cut grass. I greatly like it. Seems quieter than a gas mower. It’s much lighter. I can easily maneuver it. I didn’t get a second battery so I have forced 30 minute water breaks while mowing, which will probably be great for my chronically dehydrated self. The charging is very quick - 30 minutes. Super easy to use. Mower is easy to fold for storage. Would highly recommend (though you might want a second battery if you don’t want a break) ... show more

  • Does same job as a gas mower without the noise and hassle
My old gas mower finally crapoed out. So I bought this and the EGO weedeater with the same power supply. The batteries are interchangeable, and good for 45 minutes a piece. I don't have huge yard, so one is more than enough to mow and edge. The deck is easily adjustable with 6 settings. And given that the yard is small, so is my shed. This thing can be folded up and stood on its end for storage. Has all the feature of a similar gas mower, with a pvc deck, so rust will never be an issue. It's lightweight (easily carried in one hand with the built-in carry handle) so it would be great for mowing hills. And best of all, it's quiet. If you wanted it get up at dawn and mow before the heat if the day hit, you could do so without irritated your neighbors or violating an local noise ordinances. It also has a headlamp for mowing in low light conditions, but I've yet to try that. Next to no assembly required, unless you want to use the bagging option. Even that is simple and tool free. A friend of mine run a lawn service, and I'm going to let him test it for commercial applications. Downsides: the replacement or extra batteries are expensive, almost half the cost of the total unit. But that likely wouldn't be an issue for all but very large lawns or commercial use TL;DR: ready to go out of the box, tool free assembly, quiet, and efficient lawn mower ... show more

  • Nice Mower with adequate Power and Strength.
The mower comes completely assembled with charger and 1 battery. It has adequate strength for my lawn and the battery lasts long enough for 2-3 mows for a smallish yard. It maneuvers nicely and cuts sharply. I would not recommend for a shorter person or kids as the handle must be completely extended to run. ... show more

  • Gas engine power without the problems
First of all let me state that this mower comes packaged and protected very well, nothing was damaged in shipping even though there was a small hole in the top of the box. Assembly was very straight forward and only took a few minutes, I left the rear bag assembly for later and unpacked the battery and charger and got the charging started right away. I purchased this mower based on videos and reviews of actual owners and users and also the fact that EGO is headquartered in Grand Rapids Michigan is also a plus. I read the assembly and charging section of the manual first and then set up the mower handle height to suit me, it took about 30 minutes for the battery to charge and then we mowed for a while in our back yard. We have more than a 1/2 acre of mixed grass and common weeds, and we also have 4 gas powered walk behind mowers not working with the most recent only 3 years old and it won't stay running. I'm in my 60's and have RA along with a bad back a knee so the whole gas, oil, pull starting thing has gotten old, another reason to try out this mower. It is easy to start, very quiet and easy to push around the yard, and is not self propelled and even so it is easy to maneuver. It has 6 height settings for cutting and is easy to adjust with one knob, the handles telescope out and up and down easily and in my first full mowing test the battery lasted for more than an hour and charged up fully in 30 minutes. The battery is easy to install and remove and when the battery is getting low on power a red light blinks on the display by the battery compartment. The mower also folds up very compact and has a handle so it can be rolled into storage. That is all the good stuff, now the not so good, the handle adjustment lever on the lower left side sticks out far enough that it catches on lower limbs of bushes and other things in the yard I have to mow around. I see that as a potential problem for breakage, as is the height adjustment knob. The front of the mower extends out almost 12 inches from the cutting path so getting close to an obstacle like a fence or tree is impossible. The side discharge chute gets clogged very easy so I have to stop constantly to remove it and clear it out, but if I use the bag that problem is eliminated as the bag is easy to use. The mower is made of mostly plastic, the battery compartment is easily scratched up from limbs and debris, and the rest of the mower surface is difficult to clean up. That is the only bad stuff I have so far, as I use the mower over the next few months of mowing season I will learn more, I've sharpened the blade once using a Dremel tool so I didn't have to remove the blade for a touch up but after reading the manual it isn't that hard to remove the blade. The mower comes with a mulching plug but I haven't used it yet, all in all this a top notch mower that performs very well and does so because of the advancements in battery technology that give a gas mower type experience without the gas, oil and fumes and frustration. ... show more

  • Great Lawnmower
This is a great lawnmower. The battery lasts a long time. It folds up super easily and cuts well. I love how easy it is to maneuver and how light weight it is.

  • EGO Customer Service is TOPS!
I don't usually take the time to write reviews but I came here to report my outstanding experience with EGO. After owning it for about a year the battery failed suddenly and completely; it would not take a charge or power the mower). So I called EGO Customer Service. The pleasant customer service rep (Camil) verified the failure, verified my information (from the registration I submitted when it was new), and promised me a new battery in 10-15 business days. It was delivered in 5 business days and I'm back in business! The mower itself is adequate for my needs but I would not have rated it at 5-stars except for EGO's customer service (thank you again, Camil). The charge lasts for the best part of an hour of mowing and it recharges quickly. The height adjustment is quick and easy as is the change from mowing to mulching to bagging. But it's not as powerful as my old gas mower nor as lightweight. It's also not as noisy and there's no messing with oil changes, spark plugs, a recoil rope, etc. so it's definitely a win overall. I'm very happy with it and told my GF who bought the exact same model. She's very happy with hers too. ... show more

  • Great power and oh so quiet!
Shipped in two days! No assembly out of the box! Started mowing with it immediately and it is easier to use than my old gas mower. Chewed through high grass like a goat on steroids. Battery compatibility across all Ego products makes this a win win! This is a great value for the money so far.
