My old gas mower finally crapoed out. So I bought this and the EGO weedeater with the same power supply. The batteries are interchangeable, and good for 45 minutes a piece. I don't have huge yard, so one is more than enough to mow and edge. The deck is easily adjustable with 6 settings. And given that the yard is small, so is my shed. This thing can be folded up and stood on its end for storage. Has all the feature of a similar gas mower, with a pvc deck, so rust will never be an issue. It's lightweight (easily carried in one hand with the built-in carry handle) so it would be great for mowing hills. And best of all, it's quiet. If you wanted it get up at dawn and mow before the heat if the day hit, you could do so without irritated your neighbors or violating an local noise ordinances. It also has a headlamp for mowing in low light conditions, but I've yet to try that. Next to no assembly required, unless you want to use the bagging option. Even that is simple and tool free. A friend of mine run a lawn service, and I'm going to let him test it for commercial applications. Downsides: the replacement or extra batteries are expensive, almost half the cost of the total unit. After 25 years, my trusty craftsman finally gave out on me. Wow the ego isn’t quite as powerful as the gas powered, it performs good enough for my needs. Charging is quick, although the charger sounds like an airplane taking off. The mower folds down really easily for storage, and it’s nice and compact. They have done a really nice job on the controls for folding it down. Cleaning is very easy, since it folds up, which allows for getting underneath a breeze. It’s nice and quiet, and the sound is easily blocked out by my noise, canceling headphones. It’s very light. The height adjustment is super easy, very well thought out and way superior to any other mower I have used in the past. It doesn’t feel quite as maneuverable as my trusty craftsman, not sure if that’s due to the size of the rear wheels. But given it’s weight, it’s easy enough to move around. I definitely have to walk slower with this mower than I did my gas powered, to ensure it is able to cut the grass sufficiently. I was very apprehensive at first. But when this went on sale, and my gas-powered mower conked out, I took a chance. Pleasantly surprised. Mind you, I have a small yard of about 1200 sq. feet, but this took care of it. Battery was good for almost 5 cuts. Recharging took about 30 minutes. Bagging was easy. Storage is awesome! Great mower. When it says it has the power of gas it is true. This mower even has more power and does a better job than some of the gas mowers I have owned. I have a bigger corner lot yard so I purchased another batter to make sure I had enough battery to do the whole yard front and back in one mowing. I live in Florida so in the summer the grass is much thicker and grows faster. The battery last so long I can actually get almost the whole yard done on one battery and only use a quarter of the second one and in the fall and winter months can do the whole lawn with only one battery. It is more than great quality and well made. Has a battery power level indicator on the back so while you are moving you can clearly see how much battery you have left. So good and efficient I get the whole lawn done in half the time. Very happy with this purchase. Well worth the money. This mower will last a long time and does a great job. Would definitely recommend. Sorry I went with a cheaper brand and option earlier that did not do even half as good as job a this Ego mower does and only lasted a year.
