I needed some curtains to replace my old ones. These did block the light. Not as hard and complete as they advertise but just enough to help me sleep when the sun comes up (i sometimes do overnight shift and need to sleep at day hours). I bought two sets of these to cover a wide window knowing that they'd partially overlap. Once I got them I tossed them one at a time into the dryer with a very wet towel. This got rid of most of the wrinkles. Some of the wrinkles don't want to come out but it doesn't look bad. Overall the drapes look nice but there are a few downsides. They are no where near blackout drapes, except where they overlap, and they're so lightweight I don't imagine them blocking any sound or providing much insulating value. However, doubled up they do block out most of the light. (See the picture I added.) Before I bought these I checked out the local JC Penny. Their packs of insulating/blackout drapes were at least twice as thick. Had I known how thin these were going to be I would have spent the extra money and bought the ones from the store. But they look nice, and they were cheap. Not worth sending back, but I'll look for something else if I decide to cover more windows. If you need some decent, plain drapes then these are a fine choice. ... show more

This curtain is a little thinner than other blackout curtains I’ve tried in the past but it works just as great, if not better. It blocks out maybe about 90% of the light and its great for the price!

Since I installed the curtains omg I can sleep late because it covers the light into our room. At night it's more darker nice
