    I've bought many Deconovo panels in various colors and have always been pleased with the quality. These were just as high quality. Room Darkening These are excellent room darkening panels (true blackout panels are fully lined and cost quite a bit more) and the price is excellent for the quality. The fabric is thick and heavy. They keep my living room very dark, for watching tv or gaming. I selected dark grey and the color is close, though a bit lighter than I expected. See pics of my actual panels (brighter with the camera flash on). Once hung, they look darker. Coverage All my windows are bigger than standard and I also have a bay window in my living room - so I need a lot of coverage. I ordered two packages of the 63" panels for the bay and one package of 84" panels (total of six panels). I probably only needed three panels for the bay window, but since these come in a set of two panels I went with a fuller look. I love that these come wider than standard panels: 52" means I don't have to buy as many panels as other brands. Tabs Or Pocket These also have a new design I've never seen before. The panel can be used as a rod-pocket OR as a tab top. This is wonderful! My bay window has a very wide diameter rod and I was concerned rod pocket wouldn't fit. These actually fit due to a generous hem allowance, but it's nice to have the tabs if you want a different look. Pricing Deconovo has other panels available that look just like these with the same measurements but at a lower price. The difference is the WEIGHT. If you look under the Product Information at the item weight, you can see that these panels weigh more than others they offer (ounces per item). The heavier curtains provide more darkening.     This product is excellent. There are several ways to attach the blinds to rods for easier sliding. The quality is very high. Blinds have a almost silk type finish very classy. They are think material and virtually no light through for blackout

      • Blocks Out the Light, what else do you need it to do?

    I’ve purchased these curtains in a different size and liked them enough to repurchase. One side of my apartment is south-facing and it gets hot and bright when the sun comes out. That is no longer a problem thanks to these curtains! You can see a little bit of sun when it’s super sunny out, but beyond that these work perfectly. The included photo shows the side by side difference— a good tip is to install them higher up your window and have them hang past it so that it totally blocks the light. I wasn’t able to do that because I have weird windows, but I think a lot of the complaints would be alleviated if they’d just installed them higher and made sure they went past the length of the window. They’re soft and the color is true to the image. Fabric is soft and pretty thick— they seem more expensive than they actually are. Like all curtains that don’t have a black backing, the lighter the color, the more light shows through. If you want budget blackout curtains and are on the fence about these, here’s your sign: get them! ... show more

    Needed a curtain set to separate a large area of the house as a room divider. These fit the bill perfectly. They’re very soft and thick, almost like a thick bedsheet, and they completely block out the light from either side. The only reason there’s light at the top of the curtains in my photos is that I needed to use a wraparound curtain rod (which juts out from the wall a few inches) to make it so the curtains wouldn’t rub up against the stairway railing. I wasn’t too concerned about the curtains completely blocking out all light - I just didn’t want them to be see-through for privacy purposes. However, if you are buying these to block light, they work very well against indoor lighting. Cant speak to how they’d fare in direct sunlight, but I imagine even in a direct beam of sunlight, very little of it would get through just because of the thickness. My photos show the curtain from both sides, with the lights turned on from the opposite side of the curtain in each photo. Keep in mind that there was much less light than it appears in the photos - my phone took long exposures so that the photos weren’t too dark to see anything. The only downside is that the curtains are slightly wrinkled, which is to be expected when shipping a fabric item like this, but it’s not too distracting and is easily fixed with a steamer. Also giving a shoutout to whoever decided to make dual curtains in these exact dimensions, with a rod pocket / back tabs, in this color, and with the blackout feature. Took me forever to find these here but I’m glad I don’t have to use a grommet curtain. Update: added a photo of the curtains from the lighted side after steaming them to get the wrinkles out. ... show more
