After a full season of use last year, I just got Big Green out for her first ride of the season. As a wide person, I find this a very comfortable machine. As long as I go up and down at a reasonable speed, it handles my rather steep hill nicely. It is also very willing to power through my field when I ask it to. You will need to look out for big dips or lumps, but it is much sturdier than I thought it might be. I have found the 4 batteries adequate for the 2 acres or so that I usually do at one time, though it does charge pretty quickly when needed. When I was cleaning up for the end of the season, I mowed then let it cool before charging and mowing again. That was close to 5 acres. Oh, if you have mobility problems. This is also very easy to get on and off of. When you get it, DO LOOK FOR THE SMALL FLAT BOX WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS and TOOLS BEFORE YOU START TAKING APART THE CONTAINER. Everything you need is there, but I didn’t find this box until I had gone crazy trying to find something that would work on the bolts of the very sturdy metal shipping container, which has made a great firewood holder. 🤓 ... show more

This is coming from someone who has never enjoyed lawn care, but this ego zero turn 42 inch lawn mower, I'm having a tremendous amount of fun with! It does a great job cutting the lawn, I'm enjoying using it twice a week and it's incredibly fast and easy to do my yard. The machine charges all the batteries rapidly, and it can go to from a zero to full charge in under 2 hours. So far everything on the machine has been very easy to use, I'm getting compliments from people in my neighborhood on how the grass looks and more importantly I'm enjoying it. The only negative I have on this machine is the overall price of it as it is an expensive upfront cost, but not having to do any maintenance as of right now is a great payoff. Also the batteries will be able to be used with other ego pieces of equipment and I plan on purchasing the snow blower later this year where the batteries from the lawn mower will work in the snow blower. The mower works good enough. It mows the lawn. It is easy to use and it is reasonably comfortable for a machine without an axle suspension. I have the 52" 6 battery model. It mows about 1.3 acres on a full charge under typical conditions. It seems a little fragile but I am not really sure; only time will tell. It is easy enough for kids to use it. My 11 year old mowed most of the time in 2023. I like being able to pull a battery out and use it on another tool made by EGO. Overall I am happy with it. I wanted to be happy with a battery mower because I am tired of gas engines. If technology continues to improve we will all have great options. Plugging it in and not having to deal with gas, oil changes, and extreme noise are conveniences I enjoy. I mow in Central Maine. It bogs down in heavy thick grass but that can be remedied by lifting the deck and then making a second pass lower. I bought the bagger and it works very well. I am thoroughly impressed with the new EGO POWER+ 52" Z6 Zero Turn Riding Mower. This machine is both powerful and exceptionally well-built. Recently, I moved to a new home on a 2-acre rural lot, which was overrun with knee-high weeds and stubborn cactus plants. Thanks to its outstanding performance, the POWER+ 52" Z6 effortlessly cut through the thick vegetation in standard mode, making quick work of the task at hand. Even the dense, lush grass covering the septic tank couldn't stand up to the might of this mower. Its capabilities and sheer power left me in awe. Operating this mower was an absolute pleasure. It runs smoothly and quietly, unlike its gas-powered counterparts. Additionally, it offers a unique and convenient feature - an adapter at the top of the mowing blade deck that allows you to attach a hose for easy power washing after each use. Not only does this keep the mower clean and well-maintained, but it also adds to the overall convenience factor. Assembly of the mower took some time, with about an hour spent unpacking it from the metal cage it arrived in. Disassembling the crate proved to be a bit challenging, as it involved dealing with over 20 screws and bolts, some of which were not easily accessible. However, once that step was completed, putting the actual mower together was a breeze and took only around 15 minutes. The assembly primarily involved attaching the seat and handles using a total of 6 bolts. To ensure the mower was ready for action, I charged the batteries for approximately 4 hours upon delivery. The batteries had a 25% charge when they arrived. Following the instructions, I downloaded the Ego app and paired it with the mower. The app indicated the availability of a firmware update, which I promptly installed. The update process itself was quick, taking around five minutes to complete. I found it interesting that the app can serve as a key, but the mower also comes with two physical keys for starting purposes. Additionally, the app provides convenient control over speed settings, with three modes available. Sport mode offers the highest top speed at a maximum of 8mph. Furthermore, the blade speed and height can also be adjusted through the app. One minor hurdle I encountered was pairing the mower with Bluetooth in the app. It turns out that the mower should not be fully started during this process. Instead, a quick push of the power button is sufficient, without holding it for three seconds to initiate full startup. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The EGO POWER+ 52" Z6 Zero Turn Riding Mower is undeniably a top-notch machine, exuding high quality in every aspect.
