Make sure you're reading the size description because I can see how people would think this was a larger trashcan. Its small size fits perfectly under the sink in my bathroom. The bags are easy to change and it seems very durable. Definitely traps in any odors as well.

    • Good--But NOT As Good

This trash container does what it is designed to do. It looks very nice and the foot pedal works just fine. The finish is very nice. Now the negative points; 1) there is an OPEN bottom in the trash can (not the insert)--this is really asking for bug problems and smell, 2) the lifting mechanism is actually sort of flimsy. The piston lift is very, very thin and could easily be bend/broken, 3) the unit MUST stand away from the wall otherwise you will not be able to open the top to a hold position when you empty/change a bag, and 4) when you press the foot pedal the top DOES NOT open completely to allow you to dispose of larger or several items at once. This IS a good trash can and should work for most people. However, it IS NOT the quality of a SimpleHuman model; of course it costs about $20.00 - $30.00 less than a SimpleHuman. This is why I purchased it in the first place. Again, you will probably like this container just be sure the "gear down" your expectations a little before/when getting it. ... show more

It’s a great trash can! It’s a 13 gallon, stainless steel. Very sturdy, great quality. The top stays open when you take the trash out or put a new bag in. I love the foot pedal so I don’t have to even touch the trash can and leave any prints! Mine came with NO marks or dents! I was iffy by other reviews but I don’t regret going with this design or color. If anything ever happens to this trash can, I would 1000% order this exact one again! ... show more

The size is perfect! Most kitchen trash cans are small and require removal after every meal or more often. This one is large enough for a full day use. The slow close feature works well and if you tightly wrap the plastic bag around the plastic insert and slide it down into the metal shell it holds the bag in place! I have purchased these before and the trash bag always slides down into the trash making removal a bloody mess! Quality construction, removable bin, leak-proof, tight-fitting lid with silent close and pedal opening feature. Replaced old one that was noisy and the lid was not tight so I had a problem with fruit flys getting in and laying eggs on the underside of the lid. This new can fixed that problem.
