I own a 1994 Honda Goldwing and it has a very "old" sound system with a cassette deck. New sound systems have to be "created" and jammed into the existing sound system area and I do not have the expertise to do it. Nor do I have the money or the desire. I purchased this adapter to make life easy - plug and play - and I can stream music from my phone through the cassette deck from my cell phone. And it has worked flawlessly. Bluetooth connectivity is straightforward, paired in mere seconds, and the sound quality is better than rdio reception (i installed LED headlights and that has created static, even though I have taken steps to clean up the installation).     • Way better than a typical FM transmitter
I have an older Mercedes Benz and if you don’t know the factory radio and amplifier communicate via optical fiber so replacing the radio can be very involved and expensive. I tried about 5 different FM transmitters of all price ranges and they didn’t come close to this Bluetooth cassette. Sound quality is way better, battery life so far seems to be something manageable. What I think would be nice would be if there was a way it would auto turn on when the radio turned on and started spinning the cassette. It gets kinda annoying having to eject it and press the button to turn it on every time you get in the car. Overall I recommend this product over any FM transmitter. ... show more

Used this until I got a bluetooth stereo in my car. It worked great until it broke like 7 months into using it. it just stopped charging and the sound quality got worse but I bought it again because it worked so well before and it was fine. Just had a little crack once and a while like a scratched CD but it was not invasive at all (honestly added to the vibe of my old cassette only car). The device is easy to use. Using past experience of connecting Bluetooth devices, I just pressed and held the On/Off button to get it to pair to my phone. I didn't need read the manual for it. I like it better than the radio shack brand because it doesn’t make a loud noise whenever you turn the Bluetooth off, sometimes the cassette player will spit it out a couple times before it stays in but I’ve had the same problem with radio shack, it also makes a noise when it plays but hasn’t bothered me when music’s playing, haven’t had it very long, hope it lasts a couple years ... show more

    • Great fidelity when the audio volume of the car radio is turned up
Connected to my phones streaming of music but had to insert it into the cassette slot with the on/off buttons on the inside. However the biggest issue is I only recieve sound out of the right side speakers no stereo separation. I know that the streaming service transmits in stereo because in my other vehicle which I installed a newer bluetooth stereo in, there is perfect stereo separation. I have an 2008 Lexus with the factory radio which has both cassette and cd player onboard. I get good stereo reception on the radio and with the cd player but not with this device in the cassette player. ... show more
