  • Very Solid Product!

There isn't much to say about this product. It does what it's suppose to and does it well. I'm currently dealing with an elderly family member that can't stop trying to remove their clothing, bandages, and even stitches in the middle of the night. These gloves have been a major help in keeping my family member from hurting themselves while the family sleeps. If I can add any advice in terms of use, make sure you tie at least two knots in the restraints so that the user can't pick the knots with their teeth, etc. Also try to pull the gloves off the person when you fasten them, this way you'll be aware of any slack you've unintentionally given. If these are tied and fastened correctly, you won't be able to untie them and get them off. ... show more

  • Effective

These gloves have succeeded in preventing my husband from opening his diaper overnight and throwing around his wet pee pads. And they keep his hands sanitary. Plus, he hates the glove so much he has trained himself NOT to open his diaper at night and I can leave the gloves off most nights. It is a fight, though, to get the strap tightened around his wrist and tied off. But if the straps were Velcro, he would just tear them open with his teeth, so that wouldn't work. Only flaw in these gloves is the top mesh; he chews away at it trying to get the gloves off until he makes a hole and then mistakenly chews on his hands, bruising and damaging them. I wish the mesh were less easy to tear. ... show more

  • Solved all my problems
Color: A
I have a husband with stage 6 Alzheimer's. Every morning the bed would be wet, however his diaper and booster pad would be totally dry. I finally figured out he was pulling his penis out and peeing outside the diaper then going back to sleep. Since using these at night, that hasn't happened once. He also loves his kitty and his kitty loves him. I've noticed scratches on his arm several times and our cat never scratches us. I started watching them and when the cat would curl up on his lap he'd hold him and pet him. But when the cat wanted to get down he'd forcefully hold him causing the cat to have to fight to get off his lap. One day I witnessed him putting his hands around the cats neck to hold him place and the cat was crying. I screamed a him to let him go and since I had just gotten these gloves, I thought they could serve another purpose by keeping my cat from being injured but still allow them to snuggle. And it has worked as well. They don't interfere with him using the handrails on the toilet. He can grip them with no problem and they also have stopped him from crushing my fingers when I walk him down the hall. ... show more

  • Not for the strong willed.

My dementia grandmother was able to escape these multiple times. The problem is that the still let the patient close hands. Need thicker palm padding as the ones used in hospital.

  • Can still cause scratches, in fact amplifies them
Color: B
Only useful if lasso'd to a bed post, but not for a mobile person who scratches. You can protrude nails through breathable mesh side no matter how worn, to point where the breathable webbing of glove itself becomes an abrasive scratching surface in combination with any nail pressing up from underneath it. If it was padded on both sides it would work, but not this. Picture your nail extending out the breathable mesh side, now rub it against your skin. It's not not just a nail, but a whole abrasive mesh that can scratch you. ... show more

  • Great product
Color: A
we have a TBI patient which can often cause problems when feeding and we found the restraint gloves to be very soft and gentle yet strong enough to keep her hands/arms on the bedside while feeding, however we never leave it on all day but only use it for about 10-20 minutes while feeding. Great product :) ... show more
