  • Works great.
Color: Yellow
This thing works man. I’ve got a LOT of tools. I’ve got tools I use frequently and tools that I rarely ever use. Bought this on a whim and have found myself using it a lot more frequently than I would have thought. Once you give it a try you’ll never look at plastic repairs the same way. Used it to fix a toolbox tray I was ready to trash, some broken fixtures on my fan bike, and even my motorcycle faring. I’ve never really taken the time to worry about out making it look perfect, but I often view the imperfections left as a sign of my own ingenuity and a mark of character. Definitely comes with a brain cell tax if you use it without a serious mask… Great value. Heats fast enough. Looks reasonably decently crafted. ... show more

  • Just as discribed

i bought to fix one of our Halloween skeletons (the hand broke at the wrist). It took many many tries ro figure out how to use this tool & which wire nib to use. We couldn't figure it out. Looks so easy on all the videos we watched. Only thing I can think is that the materials we were using takes a diff technique. We will try again. I would love to learn how ro use it correctly. It came with alot of extras. it was def us -not the tool that had any issues. I think the tool is great. ... show more

  • does what it needs to
Color: Yellow
ordered this in an attempt to repair some cracked plastics on my vehicle. works great, gets plenty hot and very quickly does what's needed, only down side to the package is that lack of any real instructions, and I've you've never used one before it might be confusing as to the items that are included like the metal mesh, or the "plastic filler rods" the other issues like I'm sure others have mentioned the clippers are not that great, they don't flush cut. I used another pair of flush cut nippers I owned. but item worked well and saved me having to spend a bunch of money for another replacement part that just had some cracking. ... show more

  • Best welder for plastic
Color: Blue
I have tried other so called welders but so far this one has out performed all of them. I have used on my motorcycle farings and car parts also plastic laundry basket handles. Gets the job done and very strong bond because of the staples.

  • Saved our 12 foot skeleton
Color: Red
Our skeleton fell over in the wind and I thought he was a ginner. This kit helped to put him back together and worked wonders with the different staples in the kit. Easy to use, good heat, the light is clutch.

  • works great

Plastic footrest support bars broke on my $1200 massage chair, manufacturer does not offer repair. So I fixed it myself with this fantastic inexpensive repair kit.

  • OMG, they *make* this!?! Where has it been all my life?
Color: Yellow
Saw a "plastic welder" for the first time in Hackspace magazine, at the same time that my plastic garden cart was laying in two pieces near the garbage. It had cracked some time ago, and I'd tried gluing and then melting-with-torch, but the crack expanded and a quarter of the bucket broke off; irreparable. Got this tool, decided to try patching it... While I've not abused the cart yet, clearly if I'd had this tool when the crack first formed, it'd not have grown like it did. Got the 100W model, and while it's quite sufficient to place the staples, welding the screen took awhile (but it's a 6x3in fix for a bottom crack) and the unit overheated as expected and recovered quickly. Very pleased with this newly-discovered device and it's ease of use. Couldn't resist trying to resurrect that old cart, and I'm so impressed that the huge chunk is now securely in place! I'm considering using it next to repair a broken toothbrush that won't stay glued (a 40 year old memento of Mom, don't ask...). ... show more
