I did have my doubts with the price point but low and behold it does work. 3/32 rod runs better the 1/8. 6013 and 7018 both work. A little tricky starting the ark, you need to start at a 45 degree angle or so as the rod sticks easily. Bought a box from Harbor Freight and there you go. Much easier then loading the engine drivin Miller with a fork lift. Not a production welder but nice when you just need a short weld or two. ... show more

    • This welder is super small but dependable as hell!
This welder is super compact and runs off both 110v and 220v. I use 220v at home and 110v when I leave home. I am amazed at what this tiny welder can do thanks to inverter technology. I have two bigger all in one Tig, Mig, Plasma cutter from YESWELDER they are all used around my garage. They are well made and dependable previously I had a Lincoln mig that crap broke down after a year of usage and cost me as much to repair it as it was to buy a new one. During that down time I bought my first YESWELDER all in one and was amazed at that quality of build, the lightweight portability and more power from an inverter system. The Lincoln was so heavy compared to this welder. Arc was very stable too thanks to the electronic controls. This was the reason I decided to buy yet another welder from YESWELDER. I needed a all purpose stickwelder that I can easily take with me from home to job and around the house projects. This welder is great and I highly recommend it. ... show more

I've had this welder for a while now and have used it several times on small jobs. It runs well and gets the job done. This is NOT a constant duty cycle machine but is great for smaller jobs.

The media could not be loaded. Honestly very surprised with this little machine . Running it on 220 with some 3/32 and it’s seems to be laying them in there . If your just starting out or wanting some extra practice I’d definitely recommend buying this . The stinger jaws are a little weak and the ground clamp is alright . But if you replace those I honestly don’t see a flaw in this machine 💪🏽✅ ... show more

Picked this AC stick welder just to have around so I wasn't reconfiguring my larger multi process welder as often. It does a good job with 6013 and 7013 but doesnt play as well with 6011 but still does ok. Have found that the amp meter is not anywhere accurate compared to mainstream unit like a Miller or even a Hobart. Just play with it on some scraps and take some notes and you'll get used to it then when you need to do something cleanly you'll know where to set it at. Also the leads on mine were using a knock off or modified Dinse 35-50 connectors ( think of the male connector being shortened by 6mm) as regular 35-50 would bottom out in the panel plugs before being able to turn). Wanted to be able to use some of my longer cable leads so I ended up swapping out the panel receptacles with real 35-50 connectors...(the male end of the YesWelder ARC-205DS can use the standard 35-50 female connector just fine just not the other way around). All in all it's a good little very lightweight AC stick welder for what it costs ... show more
