I really wanted a small welder for fixing small projects. I used to be a fitter so I've welded alot. I used this little buzz box welding 3/16 plate steel together this afternoon.     • Compact, simple & capable welder for hobbyists, artists & mechanics.
It works fine, easy to weld with. Nice smooth DC arc. Good quality cables & ground clamp. Very portable, capable, too. It shouldn't be able to run a big 5/32" rod, but it can! If you try to stick the rod, it detects the short circuit and turns the current off! However, it does get a little hungry at settings above 100 or so, and wants a little bit more power than a 20-Amp breaker or fuse wants to allow, and may pop the breaker or blow the fuse. Use 3/32" rod, which take less current, or 1/8" rod at settings below 100. Also good at low settings and either 1/16" or 5/64" rod. ... show more

Welds 1/8” 6013 rod really well on 75 -80 amp. Standard outlet did not trip a fuse. Very satisfied with this product.

I’m very impressed with this little welder it works great for it’s size I used to weld for years with a stick welder and mig I would recommend this for any small jobs you need to do it’s handy to have.

This is a true bad ass little welder it burns 6011 1/8 rods pretty good at 95 amps not gonna lie, im going to try them out with with 7018 next but will try 3/32 instead or 5/16 will update soon, also the breaker will trip on the regular outlet if you try to burn through the rod will only make it about half way Update: So i tried the 7018 welding rods 3/32 and it works perfect im not a professional welder the bottom welds dont look too good but the top one does, its an excellent welder you just need a good connection if you use 1/16 rods your breaker wont trip all the time like 3/32 does but if you use a good generator youre golden you can crank it up and it welds all day too i just keep it on the safe side it burns through a whole rod with ease and let it cool for a litttle bit and keep welding ... show more
