It's a decent welder. It's lightweight, cheap, and does actually allow one to weld materials together. I have no idea how to weld yet but this is cheap enough to help me learn!

I got this little welder with fairly low expectations and when I opened the box my expectations were mixed. The welder is about the size of a short loaf of bread, so tiny. But looking it over, it appeared to be fairly good quality. It came with a few 6013 welding rods so I fired it up and tried it out... and was pleasantly surprised. It does the job. I will say that it runs a little too hot to weld light sheet metal even on the lowest setting. I was trying to tac a patch in a vehicle floor and it would burn holes immediately. But for anything reasonably thicker it will work fine. ... show more

Always wanted to learn. Seen the reviews on this one and gave it a try. As someone who has NEVER welded before, I was able to make a few practice brackets that held 280lbs.
