  • Allstar Performance ball joint spreader tool
Installed some lowering springs on my 91 GMC Sierra. I was able to break loose both upper and lower ball joints nearly simultaneously with no damage to ball joint or boots and was able to re-use them since they where still in very good condition where as a pickle fork would have destroyed them. Very handy tool and in my case a money saver ... show more

  • Ok, but not a forever tool.
Worked where others didn’t, however cracked in the process. Good tool for one time use, but not for everyday shop use.

  • Weak
Looks nice, but tried to use it on a '71 Chevy C10 and the ball end allowed it to move too far out of line and split the casing around the flex end. Would not remove the ball joints. Wasted about a half hour trying to use it. Went back to the old 2lb hammer and pickle fork method. Had it out in a few minutes. Might have been too big of a ball joint for the tool? Nice paperweight tho. ... show more

  • Great tool for tall ball joints
Works well on my 70 Chevelle ball joints when other tools did not. I have tall ball joints, so regular pickle forks don't work well.
