  • Pool cleaner robot
Color: Blue
This is my first battery powered pool cleaner. This thing does a great job. It’s easy to operate and easy to clean. I’ve used it a few times a week for a month and it is truly better than the $1300 corded unit at cleaning my pool and ease of operation. Battery life is as advertised.

  • Impressive
Color: Blue
I’ve had it for a month, had picked up “sand” and pine needles without an issue. Better option than the $1200 pool store options.

  • Download Software Updates
Color: Blue
This pool cleaner does everything as described in the marketing videos. It’s important to first download any software updates before use. I’ve only had this product for 3 weeks. However, I’m very pleased with how effective it cleans my pool including the water line. Yes it’s heavy, but manageable.

  • Sporadic. Gets stuck in the deep end
Color: Blue
I purchased this after trying a $100 robot vacuum that just went in circles in the deep end. The $100 vacuum covered more ground this one goes back and forth in the same straight line. 10 times the price, and although it does the walls great, this one doesn't just get stuck in the deep end but won't do circles or even triangles. It does the same line back and forth. I had to pick it up and move it to the shallow end 3 times where it missed tons of dirt (see wide intervals in photo) and continuously got stuck each time doing same line back and forth in the deep end again. The pool is nowhere near the size of the robots capability and only 6ft deep. Id hate to have to return it because there wasn't much out there that said it would be any better. Might just have to baby sit it every time I use it but absolutely not worth the money. If you have a curvy pool or kidney shaped pool, maybe the old school suction vacuum is better idea. I'm really surprised and disappointed. I read at least one review from a kidney shaped pool owner that said this vacuum was great. Practically useless since it spends less than a few minutes anywhere in the pool besides the same back and forth line in the deep end. I'm so embarrassed given how excited I was for it to arrive and racing about it to my neighbor when we watched it climb the walls. Now I have to tell them how its actually completely useless. Saddest joke of a robot vacuum. Sure the filtration is really nice. It got green algae it has 2 different filters. It does the walls great but the floor is A COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT JOKE ... show more

  • A solid cleaner but it's a heavy beast of a cleaner to have to use daily
The media could not be loaded. The Aiper S1 Pro is the largest and heaviest robotic cleaner I've ever used. While it cleans well, I find this machine cumbersome and clunky to use and out of my fleet of other robotic cleaners, this is honestly the one that I use the least just due to it's poor ergonomics (size, charging system, weight, etc). Weight: The Aiper weighs 28lbs dry and due to the jets/drains being on the top near the handle, it does not drain water quickly so when you are lifting it out of the water is feels more like 40-50lbs. I used a luggage scale to lift it at one point and it registered 48lbs for a second before water started draining. This is dramatically heavier than my BeatBot or Wybot machines. Cleaning: While the Aiper does a great job at cleaning the floor, it has struggled to make it up some of my curved walls and I think this might be due to it's large size and excessive weight. And since the exhaust jets are on the top (in order to allow for waterline cleaning), it seems to lack the extra thrust that other robots have to get to the top of some of my walls. Charging: The Aiper comes with a very large brick that charges the unit fast. However, there is a rubber plug that covers the charging port but I've already noticed some white scale building up on the charging plug and port. You have to be very deliberate about drying off the charging area before plugging the unit in to charge. Filter: The filter basket is large and fairly easy to clean with one hand (and one hand holding the hose). The secondary filter has rarely needed any cleaning in my usage. Waterline Cleaning: This is the unit's claim to fame, but I personally don't find it that useful and I feel like they made a lot of compromises in the ergonomics and design of the product to allow for this mode. The jets on the top make draining slow but were required for this mode to work. When you put the unit in this mode, it does do a good job of circling the pool in a sideways manner to clean. Personally I've always found it faster to just spray my waterline with a hose to loosen the debris and then run the floor cleaner. However, if this mode is important to your pool scenario then this might just be the feature that sells you on this unit as it does work as intended. Conclusion: Overall this is a very good pool cleaner but I think it's too big and too heavy for most people to enjoy using regularly. I own several other pool robots that are more pleasant to use than this unit just due this unit's size and weight and charging solution. For the cost of this unit, there are several others I would recommend over this unit. If you don't want the sideways waterline cleaning feature, then I think there are many better robots available in this budget and some even dramatically cheaper. Video: Have a look at my attached video to see the Aiper's features closeup and watch it's waterline mode in action. ... show more

  • Patterned cleaning
Color: Blue
I like that it uses an S pattern to clean the walls and floors. My Dolphin would just randomly go wherever. No cable is a plus too. It uses half it's power on the walls and the other half on floor. It did have a bit of a problem going over the nozzles and lights. Due to these issues it wasted a little more of its battery and didn't finish all the walls. Was about 2 ft short of doing the entire pool. If just doing the floor, I have to place it so it doesn't clean diagonally of my rectangular pool. If it does that then it gets stuck in the corners. It handled my steps surprisingly well. I did have to go back with my brush to clean some of the areas it missed. Mostly wanted this for the patterned cleaning of the floor. Got warranty money from my Dolphin robot and put it to this one so it was basically free. It has about a 3hr battery life. ... show more
