    • Works Quite Well For Walking

I bought the vest in part to give me some additional weight while on my morning walks. I've not used a weighted vest or other additional weights in the past (like arm or leg) so I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm 6'2" and a bit on the bulky side. I started with a single weight in each pocket and have increased it to 22 lbs and now I'm at about 28 lbs. I take a walk three times a week in moderate to steep areas from 2.5 to 5 miles each time I go for a morning walk. With two bars in each pocket, some of them don't completely close being more of a pinch or point close than a full width close. The vest itself fits very well and with the velcro and D-Rings, it fits as snugly as you'd like. They even have the velcro on opposite sides of the straps so you can just hook the straps together across your chest or belly vs using the D-Rings. It does hang down a little past my waist which is why I gave it 4 stars for working out. I've done weight training in the past and I suspect the length might get in the way for some of the exercises I used to do. Overall, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm 6'4 225lb. This vest is very difficult to properly install around your body on your own. Other than that it is nice and heavy but fits very loose. Not good for high movement sports like boxing, running, etc. Good for low impact like pull ups, rock climbing, push ups, stair stepper, etc.

I really like the weighted vest. I use it for strength training, calisthenics, or even just for walking. I love how quickly I adapted to using it, and how the weight is evenly distributed across the body. It feels very natural, like I have extra weight. Even with all the included weights, there's room for more. In the future, I plan to purchase additional weights to add. The only inconveniences are putting on the vest, which can be a bit tricky, and being careful with the Velcro. Over time, it might wear out, but for those with sewing skills, it can be managed. My recommendation is to remove the Velcro carefully to make it last longer!" ... show more

Updated review---- from 5 stars to 3 stars I use this daily. The vest is too long and not adjustable. I found a way around this and have no more issues with the weights coming out of the pockets. I have had to repair a strap on the vest. I'm not sure if the stitching came undone or if it was a quality control issue. I haven't had any additional issues since the repair. The metal buckles on the vest are wider than the the cloth straps. The buckles move and have started to wear through the straps. I have found a work around and have no more issues. The thin velcro straps on the leg and wrist weights are wore out and don't hold well, not that they have a huge roll in keeping them on. The buckles are beginning to rust. The weights themselves have started to rust. All this being said I think the idea is great and it has been and will continue to be useful in my workouts. I do think it could use some improvements but it is better than other products I have tried for the same purposes. ************************************************************************************************************************** I really like this set. I purchased it because it has the arm and leg weights. The vest took a little to get used to because I was accustomed to one that sits almost exclusively on your chest. This one very evenly distributes the weight but it does go around my abdominal area. It is very secure, to the point there is no getting off if you are super rushed. So far it's been great. i do have one little pod that seems to come open on top and the weights come out when I'm inverted but those moments are few and far between so it's not a big issue. ... show more
