I purchased these as a Christmas gift. The locking mechanism stopped working and weight cannot be adjusted. I didn’t know until it was too late to return. Very disappointing. Do not waste your money!

I thought these would be difficult to adjust weight, but is further from the truth. I'm able to switch weight with a simple turn of the knob. Great proudct.

    • the 1-star reviews are from people who are not using these correctly....
I'm seeing a lot of 1 star reviews from people who are clearly using the weights wrong... Make sure you put the weights back down in the same direction that you picked them up from the cradle, otherwise the locking mechanism will not work (as people leaving poor reviews are referring to). This is user-error. I will say that I made this mistake, but once you know, you know. There is a notch on the left side of each disc which attaches to the handle, if you put them down backwards the notch will be on the wrong side of the handle and the weight cannot be attached. Easy solution is to put a piece of masking tape on the handle and cradle to just make sure they match up each time. That being said, these weights are stable enough to do renegade rows. They are as bulky as any other adjustable weights which usually cost 3x more than these ones, so its just part of the deal. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've been searching for these adjustable dumbbells for a while now. I'm glad I came across this particular one. It actually is quite handy when it comes to adjusting these weights. Definitely is a space saver as well, without having to have all the dumbells with different weights laying around in the garage.     • Locking Mechanism Defective
Bought these as a Christmas gift for my son. First time he tried to use them at 16lbs., on his first curl, the weight fell off. Upon further inspection, the locking mechanism does not lock when lifting the weight off the rack.
