In the end, I got it installed and it works as advertised. As far as the product itself goes, it works as designed and should be good enough quality for my environment. What tripped me up was following the instructions. I have a series 2 Ring and when you read the instructions, it shows how to install Step 1 for for Series 1 and 2. However, for the illustration in Step 1, Series 2 it clearly shows the Ring camera itself with screws going through it as the way to attach it, and the instructions even read "Secure the doorbell onto the angle mount....." There are no such screw holes on the Series 2 camera. It took me a while to realize you have to attach the original Ring mounting bracket to the angle bracket first. Then the Series 2 camera mounts on mounting bracket the same way it did before. So the Step 2, Series 2 illustration is completely baffling. In addition to that, the 2 screws that are to lock the part of the angle bracket that swings to where you want it are too small (or the holes too big). Luckily I was able to find my own screw that worked. Hope this review saves someone some time and confusion. ... show more
