The outsides of these bags are plastic coated, allowing them to withstand damp weather. Also, although it was to come with 30 candles, the package included a "bonus" of 5 additional candles. The candle flickers nicely inside the bag. It is an excellent value.

I got these to use as table decorations for a party. The effect was beautiful when the lights were really low but when the lights went up during dinner the tea lights weren't strong enough. For a subsequent use in a higher-light environment, I just substituted some of my larger candles (with 2 AA batteries that produced stronger light). ... show more

I am so pleased with this purchase. The luminaria bags are beautiful and sturdy, perfect for outdoor use. The order comes with the battery operated tea lights and with lots of extra batteries, although none needed so far but a very nice addition to the order. Got a lot with extra batteries and that alone makes it worth it. Light themselves are not overly bright but they stayed lit a long time and I was able to remove batteries to use next year too

The good news is that they gave you a lot of product, there were 30 bags and 35 battery operated tea light candles. +2 sheets of extra batteries for the candles. The bad news, is that the tea lights were so weak that even after full dark, you could barely see that there was a candle in the bag. And while technically reusable, especially with the extra batteries, the fact of the matter is, they were very poor quality and the on off switches, were actually broken on a few, which is why I assume they give you extras. ... show more

Verified buyer. I was delighted to receive 30 water resistant sturdy luminary bags with battery-operated candles for Christmas front yard decor. We used kitty litter to weight to bags down, it worked well although I know you can use sand or small rocks as well. Although it was damp that evening, they bags held up and were still in place and flickering (although more dimly!) the next morning. Some of the little lamps still work.
