I have had these expandable garden hoses in the past, and have loved them. They are the MOST durable and long lasting of any of the expandable hoses that I've ever had. I think the 4 layers is the key. Other types that I've had usually shred after just a couple months. Living in the mountains and dragging the hoses over not only our concrete patio as well as our granite terrain wears out regular expandable hoses. I've replaced all our vinyl/rubber types hoses with these expandable ones. They also don't seem to "disintegrate" after being in the sun for a few months. I would recommend these hoses. ... show more

I like this hose do much I bought one for every water outlet outside our house. Plus an extra for the gardening equipment i keep in my car for gardening at our church. The hoses take up little room. Don't kink. Lightweight! I would buy more in a heartbeat.

I've only found 1 minor gripe, and that's I would prefer if the textured collar on the male end, ( where you attach your own sprayer), was a bit wider making it easier to grasp for weak or smaller hands. This is the easiest hose I've ever used, and I've had many many many over the years claiming all the things we wished they actually did. Well this does what you want it to do and does it without leaking. Heads up here! If you turn the water on full blast, without having some type of sprayer attached, the end will flop around wildly similar to an unmanned fire hose. - It only weighs just over 5.25 pounds, and easy to hold in one hand - It doesn't kink, and you'd actually have to tie it in a knot to get it to tangle. - The metal casing is similar to a metal handheld shower hose, making it easy to glide over rocks and other obstacles. - It's compact and only takes about 1/3 the space a traditional garden hose takes. - it's easy to wield around and manage, unlike a traditional or flat hose, and it stays flexible in the cold, well at least in our mild cold evenings at 42⁰ Fahrenheit. - The easiest hose I've ever coiled up, whether it be on one hand, (which is doable if you have medium to large hands), or into a pot. I can say this is the 1st hose that actually gets coiled back up every time because it's easy. I think this would also work well on a reel. - It doesn't crush when you step on it, although I haven't yet ran it over with my dually truck while it's against concrete or a rock to see if that does crush it. - This has standard garden hose ends, not any adapters as another one I had similar to this one which always leaked at those areas. This one doesn't leak. - The outside diameter of the metal casing is a bit larger than a Sharpie marker. The inside hose diameter is around 3/8". I haven't noticed any low pressure while hooked up to both my, home use, gas and electric power washers, nor when used with my spray nozzles. Although I wouldn't necessarily want to fill my 8000 gallon pool, not that it can't do it, it would just take longer. In case you don't read the instructions, you'll initially, meaning one time before use, need to stretch it out, hook it to your spigot and have the other end closed off with let's say your sprayer, allow it to fill with water pressure to initially stretch the inner hose. Release the pressure and it's ready for use. So far I'm happy with it and believe you will be also. Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you! ... show more

I'm impressed with this stainless steel garden hose. It is no lightweight for sure. The hose does not kink which is nice. The actually hose material is like the small hoses used on shower wands. Over-all I liked it

    • Dosen't tangle and sturdy
The outer metal jacket is flexible, dosen't tangle, and is strong. I had an expanding type hose because they are lightweight and don't tangle, but though I dried it and took inside over the winter, it burst like a balloon. I don't think that will happen with this because of the metal jacket on it and it is still lightweight. ... show more

    • Almost Perfect - The Hose You Should Have Been Using All Along
This is ALMOST the perfect hose, just one little drawback. Which I can get to in a moment. That aside, I'm very pleased with it for three big reasons: 1. It won't kink up like a traditional hose, making you stop what you're doing to actually get the water running through it again. 2. It's bulldog-tough. I must have ordered half a dozen "expanding" hoses over the last two years. All of them were GREAT at first. And all but one ended up leaking over time, when exposed to the elements (rain, sun). So no headaches about the hose failing after a few months to a year of use. 3. Good connections with no leaks. It comes with rubber gaskets as well as additional tape to ensure that you don't get leaks. But right off the bat, no leaks. Now, about that flaw.... The mention that this hose has standard 3/4" connectors on both ends. Which is true. But the diameter of the hose itself is definitely not standard. It's slightly slimmer than what I would have expected. Which isn't problematic for basic uses of a hose, like watering plants, rinsing things off. But it does present some concerns as far as what the affect may be on one of my pressure washers. There's always a slight risk that if you're not getting enough water fed to a powerful pressure washer at the right speed, it can mess up the motor. So that is a bit of a concern for me. But so far so good, I'm using it with one of my Greenworks electric corded pressure washers and haven't really had any issues yet. But the diameter of the hose itself is the main reason why I knocked one star off the rating, otherwise it would be perfect. One other thing worth mentioning. Somewhere on the product page, the brand makes reference to a handheld spraying nozzle. Yet no sprayer is pictured anywhere on the page, and no sprayer actually comes in the box with the hose. Which made no difference to me. I already have several spray nozzles, and I mostly wanted to use this with my pressure washer. But it's just worth letting other buyers know in advance that it doesn't come with any type of spray nozzle. The brand should probably remove that info. This is my first metal hose like this, and so far I'm pleased with the results. The real test will probably be how well it holds up, if there will be any leaks over the next few months or year. If I notice any change, I'll be sure to mention it in an update. But I'm happy so far. ... show more

Didn't think I needed that as a hose requirement, but this holds up to squirrels. Hah. And it doesn't kink. Cool. Might be too heavy for some people when filled with water. Flow rate is fine.
