I expected this hose to be one of those fabric ones that shrivel up when the water is turned off. It is not. This hose feels like a soft rubber. I love the purple color, it is smaller in diameter than a standard hose and when filled with water does not expand to that size of a 5/8" hose. I like the brass male and female fittings on either end as well as the switch to turn water off or on from the end of the hose. Unfortunately, I found it doesn't seem to have very good pressure. I was kind of surprised but, this does not deter from the quality of the hose and the feel and function of it. This served the purpose well for me, of being able to run a hose from below my deck up to the top. It is not heavy and, when not filled with water it is even easier to move around! I see that there is a coupon at the time of this review for a nice discount. I highly recommend this hose! I would like to have another for the front side of my town home. I think I can get used to the smaller diameter in exchange for the lightweight functionality of this hose. Very pleased, I'm eager to see how this will season over the winter. I feel the true answer to that will determine the true quality and validity of the price. I do recommend this hose and, thanks to the color as well, it would make a fun and unique gift. ... show more

    • Ugly and questionable material but works wonders.
Ordered this so that I could have a more tucked away style hose instead of fighting a regular large hose that ends up being a kinked-up mess. As soon as I opened the box, I was not really happy with the way this hose looked. Yeah, I knew it would be purple, so I'll take that one, but the material used in the actual hose part looks flimsy and cheap however I noticed that the ends were made of what I knew for sure was excellent material. Installing the water hose is super easy with the included adapters. Once I turned the water on, I was shocked at how big the hose got and how well the rubber held together especially after stretching so much. So far, this hose has been amazing and been a huge plus for me to order. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting an odd but great water hose and you have to be ok with the purple as well.     • Interesting and functional hose
I got this hose because I hated my old one, which had a habit of kinking up. It works just fine. It's nice and short for storage and then expands when you turn the water on. I'm not quite hitting 50 feet but the instructions note it will loosen up with time as it expands and retracts. Given it's a rubbery and flexible material, I do worry about it getting punctured, but for now I'm just happy it doesn't kink. This may not be the best possible hose for your situation, but it's working fine for me so far. ... show more

I was not anticipating the material that this was made out of. It worked alright, but was almost tacky to the touch and it made it hard to work with. I'm not certain that this will hold up well to frequent use or even potentially dragging it across a driveway.

The media could not be loaded. You'll immediately notice how light weight this hose is and how easy it is to handle. It comes with some washers for your connections but even without them, I had no leaks from a standard exterior home water spigot or water sprayer. To properly use it, you need to close the valve which is at the end of the hose where you attach your sprayer or sprinkler. Then turn on the water. This will cause the hose to fill and expand to full length. Once you open the hose's valve, you're ready to go (as seen in the video). Once you are done using it, you close your main shutoff valve and remove your attachment to allow the hose to drain. You will see the hose begin to shorten in length. Once drained, I was able to roll the hose into a convenient size for storage in just a few seconds and it stayed in the position shown in the photo. It doesn't seem as durable as a traditional garden hose but it's much easier to handle and store. It would be particularly good for keeping on the rear patio for the occasional cleaning, gardening project or filling the kiddie pool. ... show more

    • Compact with a nice extra stretch
This hose has been a great find so far. The hose I’m replacing was super bulky, and much heavier than this new expandable hose. The hose is way also tons lighter. The problems I’ve always ran into with all of my other hoses in the past, is that if you’re not super careful while stretching it out away from the water Hose Bibb, it will twist and kink. This would kill my water pressure , or even cut it off completely. When that happened, I’d have to find the kink to get my hose back up and running properly. I’ve not had that issue at all with this new expandable hose. The latex material also gives me a bit more stretch which was a nice surprise. There was no issues with connecting to my standard Hose Bibb or spray nozzle, and no leaks to speak of. Easy to wrap up after finishing with my yard work. ... show more

My new garden hose is easy to attach to water faucet and works very well for watering my yard and garden, with no issues.
