Hutch was easy to put together, came without any damage or anything missing. It did have a "paint" smell that disappeared in 2 days. I just left the ramp down after putting into my buns indoor pen area, which is half of my office. I let her choose when to go into it. She checked out the 1st floor after a few days. It took her about 10 days to go "upstairs", and now that is one of her favorite places! She likes to go up there if she feels threatened (like when the dogs are barking a lot), or if she wants to be left alone. It's sturdy, ultra easy to clean (my bun is litter trained, but sometimes has a pellet pop). Not sure if it would last outdoors unless you put a coat of poly or something on it. Delivered fast. Takes some time to put it together. Not very heavy made, but so far has lasted us about 7 months. Still using it, but is too small for our now adult bunnies. Can only house 1 New Zealand bunny, weighing 6 pounds (had 2 in it as babies for about 3 months, then became too small). Of course, rabbits chew everything, but it's overall holding up. Having 6 doors makes it easy to catch bunny or clean them out. The ledge between the ramps is a good spot for them to lay. Ours is kept inside, not sure how it would hold up outside. Probably not well as it's not heavy duty, as I previously said. The pull out trays are good. We don't use them (bunnies are litter trained) so they're kind of stiff. Cage is on wheels, but we have them locked as we don't move the cage. Overall, good cage for small/dwarf bunnies or temporary housing. (In picture, we also purchased separate play pen which does block 2 of the doors). ... show more

I ordered this in a pinch as I had 18 newly hatched chicks but the outside enclosure was delayed in set up. It was so spacious and a lifesaver at cleaning up after that many chicks every other day. They were quite comfortable for several weeks.

Perfect size for our guinea pigs and good looking item, but build quality isn’t amazing. Had to use wood glue to fix a small broken piece and alignment for drawers is a little off but still function. Its very pretty. I was able to assemble by myself. But husband had to do some woodworking help. The only place I needed to reinforce was the center top door wood stopper, it broke in half. My hubby cut a small piece of wood to replace it and I screwed it in and painted it. Keeps the doors from opening or opening of the bunnies lean on it. Reinforced it inside of those center doors too. I did have a terrible time getting the top drawer to slide in. Hubby sanded that down for me so it would fit into the area meant for it. So, it was not exactly made perfect. I left it outside for a few months unassembled due to a very strong smell that came from the wood. So not great if you need this used in a hurry. But the smell finally disappeared. 😍 Bunnies are good. I thought it would have more room for some reason because square footage was bigger than the previous cage.But with all the cubbies I can see where I was ignoring the openess of the previous cage. I left it with one door open for the bunnies to explore in front of their old cage with that cages door open. They'd go in for treats but then right back to the old one. After a month, I took it away. They're in the new cage and eating, drinking, and using their litter box pretty good. Pee mostly. They still poo wherever they lay or hop to. Hahaha ... show more

This broke as soon as I assembled it. Cheap wood and as an elementary school teacher who used my classroom funds to purchase this for my kids to have a class pet, it’s very disappointing that it immediately fell apart.
