  • Easy to put together and sturdy.
We are using this as a feral cat shelter. So far the cats are using the caged part to eat. I wrapped the wire areas with plastic to keep the wind out. We also caulked all the areas where there were gaps and used spray roof sealer for the bottom wood that touches the ground. I needed this to keep the turkey vultures from eating the food. The openings are too small for them to get all the way into and I don't have to replace the food as often. We put a cat mat on the area that slides out and stuffed the house part with straw. We also sealed slide out drawer with heavy duty duct tape to stop any cold air from getting in. Looks good out in the yard too. It has a strong smell sort of like cedar but I don't think it is. If it doesnt say so in the discription then it isn't but it smells like it. It should go away if kept outside. ... show more

  • Too small for chickens
Color: Natural
I got this because it was quick and convenient and I needed something for the young pullets we were about to acquire. By the time the two chickens were grown, it was too small. I made lots of modifications to it over the first few months - I used plywood to make the coop about twice as wide (I eventually had 4 chickens and they fit, albeit barely), I used a 2x2 as a perch for them to stand on, and raised the roof so they would have adequate room. I kept half of the roof unattached so that I could open from above for cleaning. I added shingles to the roof to protect from the rain. I raised it off the ground and added galvanized wire to keep rodents out. I added a better locking device to the outside to keep raccoons out. I cut the door at the top of the ramp bigger so adult chickens could fit through it. The "run" area was way too small to be useful, so the chickens had to be let out right away when they woke up for the day. Eventually, it was a safe enough place to sleep but they didn't love it. So, in summary, it would have been better to be patient and build a coop for the chickens before getting them, but in a hurry it did do the trick, but it needed a lot of modifications to actually be useful over time. Realistically, this should not be advertised as a chicken habitat. Maybe a couple rabbits or small birds like quail. Even then, not really worth the cost, but hey I can't blame anybody but myself for paying that much. ... show more

  • Served its purpose
Color: Gray
I knew it was gonna be small I was anxious to get my chicks outside so soon as it was warm enough. was their temporary living quarters until I could integrate with the big girls. This is not for full grown chickens.

  • Good "integrating coop" for new chicks..not Chickens.
Color: Natural
It's small, and I knew it would be. I purchased solely to have a safe spot for my new chicks to hang out, in a very well secured run, so the existing flock gets used to them. Works for that... Easy to put together and serves the purpose I purchased it for. This coop would not house normal size chickens. Maybe ONE. Bantam, maybe 3. This is far from predator proof out of the box. I would NEVER put chickens in this outside my secure run and expect safety from anything larger than a chipmunk. Great brooder or grow out security from other chickens and that's it. ... show more

  • Not Secure. Not Safe!
Color: Natural
I like the roof and that’s about it and that it was fairly easy to put together (took about 45 min). The cage is smaller than I expected. I have two small bunnies, and wish I had gotten a larger cage. Here are the reasons for the single star: very narrow especially with the ramp; the bunnies don’t really have much space to stretch out once you consider a corner that’s used for the potty, the wood is extremely soft; I don’t imagine it will ware well with the weather, the largest door does not stay latched if there is even mild wind (biggest reason for 1 Star). I even put a stone against the door and the door became unlatched. I cannot trust they will be safe while I’m away if the door just opens. I checked the latch and made certain in was latched correctly and it still came open. I will have to secure it with something else if I decide to keep using the it (I shouldn’t have to secure it with another object; it should just work). If you’re reading this, shop for a larger bunny house. If you have chickens, definitely do NOT BUY. Over all this small cage is not secure and I cannot trust it. The only good thing that came out of this purchase is the hope that this review helps someone make a more informed decision. Move on. You’re welcome. ... show more

  • Sturdy, cute and convenient! Great size for a bunny! Wouldnt use outdoors
It's a perfect little palace for my floppy ear bunny. He loves it and we are so grateful we chose this home! He seems very happy with it! The labor is minor but requires some muscle since you have to use screws to assemble. Some holes are not pre-drilled so it will require some effort from you. Unless you use a drill. I should have started with that instead. Lol. All in all, great product and our little man seems to love it! My 12 yr old daughter crawled into it and I'll post a pic so you can get an idea of size. Very convenient. No issues and overall it's sturdy enough to keep our bunny safe and locked up when needed. ... show more

  • Its very small NOT large
Color: Natural
OK, so these are not large. They are very small. The only advantage in that if you have chicks that still need a heat lamp, its very useful for that. I have one in my garage where the chicks sleep at night and I put one outside for when its nice out, but once the chicks are full grown it won't be big enough. It can maybe fit one full grown chicken. It definitely will not be suitable for winters in the Midwest. ... show more

  • Very happy with this hutch!
I honestly really like this hutch. It came well packaged with no damage and arrived very quickly. Its well made, everything works smoothly and is very easy to put together (I did so with the "help" of a 2 and 4 year old). We have a large size rabbit and she fits in it fine, especially the house but we will be building a run to attach so she has more area to move around. The great thing about this hutch is because it has so many doors to access the inside, adding a run to one of those will be easy and not get in the way of getting to the inside. My husband and I carried it assembled, quite a distance to where we wanted it and it wasnt difficult nor heavy to move. I am extremely pleased with this purchase! We are keeping it covered to insulate a little and help protect it from the elements but it seems like it would do just fine in the rain or snow. ... show more
