  • Well packed, good size for indoor bunny hutch
This item arrived quickly and was fairly priced. The packaging was excellent and all pieces were undamaged. The hutch is a good size for indoors. There are three removable trays for cleaning though you’ll have to remove anything sItting on them like food or water bowls. The assembly is IKEA style. You need a power screwdriver. The pieces are numbered, as are the packets of parts and screws. There’s an extra screw in the packets. Very nice. The instructions were visuals and pretty clear. The only item we had to rework was the ramp holder. It’s unclear how high or low it needs to be. Turns out it should be to the top of the screen frame so that the tray can slide under it. ... show more

  • For the price point decent piece
I had no trouble assembling this myself today, it took me all of 35 minutes, of course I was supervised by my Rottweiler, she made sure it was done right, it also helped having tons of IKEA furniture building experience. I made sure to use the predrilled holes when putting on the ladder bracket, I had no trouble getting the pan in afterwards. I had a gouge in one of the frame pieces but it's inside so not overly visible. All in all for the price point it is a decent piece. Directions are very clear and easy to follow. My Guinea Pigs are loving all the room they have now. The latches on the top doors are as others have stated and flimsy but I placed the loop far enough down and that made it tighter, won't come open on its own for sure. Pretty secure when appropriately placed. ... show more

  • It's an okay product for the price
I highly recommend sealing it if your going to use it outside 🙏 and the little hinge locks on top are very low quality for protection against racoons, so again if outside I would suggest upgrading the top locks. Other than that it's super cute and very easy to put together 🙏

  • Good enough for Miklo!
For starters, this is NOT particle wood. This is REAL FIR WOOD and does have a “wood” smell that will eventually go away. The instructions do tell you to air it out before putting it together. I did have to make a few modifications to best fit our needs. The trays are shallow so if you put ANY bedding and you attempt to slide them out for cleaning, it’s a guarantee that it’ll all fall out in the process of moving it. The latches provided for the top doors are also VERY cheap. They have the weight of a soda-can tab. The other latches are perfectly fine. For those who don’t mind spending another $25 bucks to get this enclosure retrofitted to accommodate easier cleaning and full proofing jail breaks if you have an escape artist like I do (Miklo who is a Holland Lop Bun), then hear me out. I went with this hutch because of the size. There’s others similar in size, but the bottom cubby is shorter in height. I wanted to make sure Miklo had ample space to jump from one area to another. One other thing that I like about this hutch is that the trays are layered with waterproof material. The outer part is wood, but the inner part is water proof. I haven’t figured out how to make it sound proof though. Lining them with silicone was a failure as Miklo immediately attempted to chew the mat. I bought 2 totes from Target (IRIS 40 Quart Sliding Underbed Storage Bin - 28.5”L x 18.06”W x 6.25”H). Once you cut the top edging, it’ll sit flush to either side of the enclosure. If you look at my picture, you’ll see the bottom left side with the tote. One other thing that was coincidental was that the one side I cut lower actually sat flushed between the openings of both bottom enclosures so Miklo could literally roll from one side to another if he wanted to. By the way, the area with the tote is his potty area. I have been able to scoop out the bedding with no problem, but you can also slightly raise the enclosure to slip it out from underneath. The tray for this area is on top of the Second Story and it gives my bun more “privacy” as well as a barrier between him and his food. Secondly, I replaced the 2 latches with safety hasps found on Amazon (Prime-Line MP5056 Safety Hasps, 2.5 inch Zinc plated). They work like a charm! Lastly, Step #3 calls for adding the metal plate where the bottom of the ladder will sit on. DO THIS LAST and with the bottom tray inserted. I did it at Step #3 and the tray would not slide in. Hope this helps! Miklo absolutely enjoys his new enclosure (when he’s not free roaming). ... show more

  • Good, but a lot of work
I spent a long time picking a hutch and ended up choosing this one. I really like that it doesn’t have a metal or wire bottom so it doesn’t hurt my buns feet. She is mostly free roam, but stays in the hutch when I am going to be gone for a while. It has ample room for a scenario like this, but not enough for constant lock up. Like others had said, just recently the wheels began to act up and it’s becoming a little harder to roll, but not a deal breaker for me, the hutch only gets moved about once a week so I can sweep underneath it. And yes you do have to create most of the holes when assembling, the wood cracks easy but it is soft, and it doesn’t build evenly. The only thing I really hate is cleaning it. We’re working on litter training rn but shes using the entire hutch as her litter box instead of the actual one. Unfortunately, the trays stain very easy and I have to use strong chemicals to get rid of the urine stains each week. This means the cleaning process takes a couple hours to do since these chemicals have to be completely washed off before going back into the hutch. As well, the pee easily slips through the separation of trays and out of the hutch, I’ve had to make modifications so it doesn’t reach my floor. When you pull the trays out, they do not accommodate for droppings, so most of the time the droppings get pushed off the tray. Would I buy again? If there wasn’t a better option for the same price yes. Do I recommend? Only for minimal use. ... show more

  • Easy assembly and access for cleaning
We bought this hutch for our Rex rabbit who had previously been in a very large pen. The assembly was easy and parts well made. The fir wood smell was minimal and actually pleasant. Our Rex doesn't chew on the hutch since we provide it many chew toys. The wire is thin but strong enough to easily hold water bottles and feeders. The top access doors are very helpful and make cleaning easy. We don't bother pulling out the trays. We shopped around for rabbit hutches at Tractor Supply, PetSmart, and Rural King but this one is much nicer, built better, and less expensive. I'm very pleased with no regrets. ... show more

  • Well made item and great customer service.
Well made item and great customer service. I ordered 2 hitches twice and they called to verify how many I wanted. We received them the next day. Will order again. We are starting to breed rabbits and these hutches have a lot of space.
