I purchased this after wanting to get into night vision solutions. After combing through the reviews and recommendations of the comments on Amazon as well as YouTube channels I decided to try this product out. My main goal was to use these goggles to be able to walk to and from Deer stands or blinds in early morning or evening so I don't give myself away using flashlights. The limited field of view takes some getting used to as well as the refresh rate of the sensor but it is entirely doable to move around in the dark while walking at a brisk pace. I will say after trying it out this is NOT something you'd want to use moving through woods. I constantly found myself running into hanging vines or stumbling on uneven ground. If you have to move through woods, take it slow and use trees for bracers and absolutely turn on the infrared lights so you can cast shadows and get a decent depth of field. Moving on open terrain that is flat is ideal and easy to do and even using the Lunarlight mode (no IR light given off) allows one to traverse well without using lights. Another plus was when I received my unit it had a fully charged battery and between me using it as a tester in and around my house as well as a walk back in the dark after some still deer hunting in an evening hunt the battery is still full or at least it shows full on the HUD icon. This is a good product and operates as described. Fun to walk around the house in the dark. However it would take a lot of practice to be able to use it for self defense. It's very lightweight, on off and power levels are easy to use. The provided helmet mount is cheap plastic and will break.

OK, they did work great, well worth the price, but this was short lived. I dropped them onto carpet from 2 feet and thy have not worked since. I have no idea where to get them repaired. 1) i I did drop them to be fair, I just would not expect that to break them. Had that not happened, I would give them 5 stars. 2) These amplify (as clearly stated by the add) 1X. They really can't be used as Goggles, with the amplification., it's really hard to walk. These can see good at night. Others I tried had better vision but were always zoomed. These are normal zoom, but not wide enough view to be moving around too fast. Fun novelty item at best.

I couldn't be happier. Only played with the NVGs a little tonight. I'll write a more thorough review in a month or so. I was impressed by how light it is, and the quality.     • Doesn’t work well with Astigmatism

I really wanted to use this, wanted to love it. However, I have astigmatism, and wear progressive lens glasses. I needed to pull the unit 8-12” away from my face to enable the screen to be focused REGARDLESS OF THE UNITS FOCUS WHEEL. When I did pull it away, the “eye box“ smaller The worst thing is, when, pulling the unit away from my face, the internal screen lit up my face, even with the illumination level set low. I no longer had the soft rubber seal around my eyes to enclose light pollution. In use, if somebody across the field was viewing me with their night vision, MY light pollution would be a glowing beacon, and the ramifications are obvious. The advantage that this unit would’ve provided, became a massive disadvantage. GAME OVER. I’m grateful that I feel tested this. Fix THAT, and I’d buy again. Maybe even two. ... show more

Very good at ita job, the only thing i would say is wrong ia the biewing screen is that, a screen so it takes some getting use to walking around as its hard to pick your feet level and in front of you at the same time unless you go slow.
