I bought this fan back in 2017 and used it since then thinking that it was functioning at its fullest it was not. This past year it got to the point where it would barely turn thought I was going to buy a new one and throw this one out got reading online and seen to put new CPU cooler paste on both sides of the pad. I have never, ever felt this fan move air before and thought to myself what a gimmick. With the CPU paste in place. I swear this fan is now moving air across the room! I bought this fan five years ago in 2019 for a fraction of the price I had paid in previous years for similar, higher-priced fas which quit working far before they should have. I thought for the low price of this fan, it would also die quickly, but it is now 2024, and this fan had never stopped working and is going fine as I type this. I am very impressed with the longevity of this device, especially considering the low price. Does it move a bunch of air around that I am able to discern? I don’t think so. I have a Vornado “air circulator” that acts as a cooling fan in summer and I can also repurpose it for winter heat redistribution for no additional cost, so I’m not as dependent on this heat-powered fan to provide that function solely on its own, but it comes in handy during power outages when the wood stove is the only heat and this fan is the only distribution of it. ... show more

I got 2 of these to set on my Vermont Castings woodstove and this is their second year of use. The stove heats 1600 square feet to give you an idea of its size. My house has a great room and 2 bedrooms on the main floor, and then a loft and bedroom upstairs. Prior to using these little fans the heat would go straight up to the cathedral ceiling and heat the upstairs, but not evenly heat the livingroom, kitchen, and bedroom areas on the main floor. Aiming the fans on the woodstove in the directions that needed heat has made a huge difference in distributing heat. They circulate hot air so it’s not all going up to the ceiling. They are a smart, beautiful design and are silent when in operation. My stove has a top-loading feature, which I prefer to use when adding wood, and I place the fans out of the way of the top-loading door so I don’t have to move them each time wood is added. But they are so lightweight and easy to move, if you had to place them on the door itself it wouldn’t be hassle to move them each time. Well worth the money! Very happy I bought them! ... show more

Bought on February 10th. Arriv3d in original packaging and was in perfect shape. It moved heat (not air) around very well... for one month. It stopped working by March 15th. 3 stars because it worked great for a very short time.
