Easy to clean, lays flat especially having things on top, rolls up easily and hasn't gotten any damage as of yet! It’s a few inches short of the back, but width wise it’s a perfect fit. The house we moved into had the finish chipping off the oven drawer lining. It really bothered me and made it feel like the tray was gross and dirty. Was brainstorming solutions and stumbled on this. I think it will serve its purpose well! I am painting miniatures and this is great to keep my area clean and organized. It is also solid black so the marble counter i am working on isn't visible. So i clearly see only what I am painting and it stands out more with no veins of the counter to interfere.

This is pretty handy if you're a messy artist, like me. I'm constantly trying to clear space on my work table to lay out a new project. Fairly often, I just want to mull over a few design choices without jumping into the project yet and there's just no room to work. This helps me with that little issue as I can clear an area of anything that's not flat and just drop this mat on top of the chaos. Clean, good sized space to work on an idea, then just clear it away when done. I've also used it for items that I'm sealing with matte medium and allowing to air dry. I've used it under small objects that I'm painting with acrylics. I haven't tried getting the paint and washes off and I probably won't even bother. Just use it as is for each project because I'm going to make a mess over and over which is why I bought it. That's just how I work and this mat is proving to be very convenient. Exactly as pictured. It has been great for protecting my tables from art projects and markers. It's large size helps with spill. My daughter has discovered that it is too big to be used for preventing bleed in her coloring books so we will have to get her a smaller one, but at least we know that this product will, in fact, help with marker bleed. Cleaning has been easy, just wipe it with a napkin or damp paper towel. Hot glue just easily picked right off. I think we will be able to get many years of use from this mat. ... show more
