this is a great knife block. it is also very heavy and WAS almost impossible to pull our from under the cabinet. NOW ITS A CLASS ACT. go to hardware store or amazon and get 4 3/4" "PULL" ( A BLACK HANDLE NATIONAL HARDWARE THAT SCREWS FROM THE OUT SIDE ) AND REPLACE THE FEET WITH TRUGUARD "movement" 5/8"PLASTIC SLIDE" (SLICK FEET)... be sure it says movement (slick) REMOVE THE OLD RUBBER FEET WIT A SMALL PHILLIPS. PRE- DRILL THE OLD SCREWW HOLES WITH 1/6" BIT.INSTALL THE NEW FEET WITH SMALL HAMMER. PRE DRILL THE HANDLE WITH 1/8" BIT.INSTALL WITH SUPPLIED PHILLIPS SCREWS. INSTALL KNIVES, GRAB HANDLE AND IT NOW SLIDES LIKE SILK. ... show more

Lots of Knives can be stored in this Knife Block for all sizes. Much Wider than the standard knife blocks. The Large has great capacity as well and slightly smaller block. I life the face that the knife slots are protected with closed bottom panel. This way the longer knifes do not go thru to the counter top as in some Knife blocks.
