The media could not be loaded. The giant wheels on this remote control dino car let it easily drive over most surfaces and small obstacles. It drives fine on tile, wood, and carpet. It is difficult to steer, similar to a real vehicle, meaning multiple point turnabouts may be necessary to get it in the target direction you want. The mist feature out of its mouth looks very cool, but there’s a VERY annoying non-stop roaring sound on loop when misting. The battery lasts much longer than our patience, and we’re the type to happily target and disconnect whatever audio cable allows the roar. Thankfully, the car can drive without the mist feature, but there is no way to use the mist feature without the roar without diving into the inner workings of the car. Fitting the rechargeable battery into the battery compartment is a chore and requires an adult’s care. Overall, my kids and I love this remote control car. I will love it more when I disable the roaring sound, but it’s still very fun to play with in the meantime. ... show more

Got this gif my nine year old for Christmas and just now had the chance to set it up and utilize. The guest battery didn’t last long, probably because of the prolonged time in between receiving and usage. A second battery made the transition a cinch and we were off and running again. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries. A small screwdriver is included for removing and installing said batteries, along with a small squirt bottle, handy for dropping inside the head of the Dino to create a really awesome steam effect from the dinosaur’s mouth. Gets around pretty well but seems to have issues turning right on hardwood flooring. From another review, this seems to have something to do with the torque. Makes a really cool dinosaur roaring sound and is super fun to drive. No issues thus far, other than not wanting to turn right on the flooring. Seems like a great little remote control car that my dinosaur enthusiast son will use and enjoy for a while. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Pretty cool little RC car, I'm looking forward to giving it to my 2 y/o for Christmas. There are a couple nueances that almost want me to give it 4 starts but I realize this is built for youth and probaly arent overly concerned with things like traction on hardwood floors, and analog controls. Wins: * LED and Mist - Umm thats just a super cool feature! * All(ish) terrain - Does well on pavement, dirt, carpet - I doubt you'd get very far in grass, but it's possible. Hardwood floors require a little more driving precision * Trim adjustment - If the vehicle isn't tracking straight you can adjust it prettty close * Longer chord for attaching battery - I've had issues getting batteries attached in other rc cars because I cant get my fingers into * Two batteries - Always nice to have some extra juice * Water tight seal for mist resevour - I was kind of conerned about this considering you have to flip over the car to turn it on and off and was hoping to not spill water when doing so Loses: * Remote is very analog - Everything is 100% or 0%, so you're going full speed or stopped, full turn or straight * Battery is difficult to fit into the compartment - Battery is about the same lenght, getting the wires inside the campartment can be a little bit of a task. Worth mentioning: * Not great on slick surface (ex. hardwood) - The RWD definitly tends to torque to one side, so going forward its going to kick in one direction and reverse is very difficult to turn the opposite direction or even go straight. * Single battery charger - With two batteries I would like to charge them at the same time - I'm most likely to run two batteries down, then charge them both, I'd rather not have to wait to charge the second one ... show more

This was a gift for my 5-year-old grandson, and he loves it! This little car has some speed to it and responds pretty well to the remote control. The lights and mist options are pretty cool too and seems to add to the imagination of the dinosaur theme. My grandson mostly uses it indoors, and while it gets good traction on carpet ground and sidewalks/pavement, it does slip and slide on wood, tile and linoleum. Setup for this car is pretty easy, though there is only one charger for 2 batteries. Not sure that both batteries will die at the same time, but if they did it would be nice to be able to charge both at the same time.
