I’m a bit handy so might take an hour if you’re not very handy with tools. There’s 4 lights that you can put so it’s really bright. Our new house has a huge master bedroom and that’s where we’ve put it. The fan has a reversible option for cold times too. Remote makes the operation much easier. This was my first "non- traditional" ceiling fan. The ease of installation made this an easy task. We hung it from a vaulted ceiling with the 8" downrod. Super quite. Couple things... Fan blades are plastic and flimsy. It pumps air amd is super quiet but now sure on how long it will last as built. The beep sound is incredibly annoying and can be silenced but who asked for that feature?!
