The media could not be loaded. For some people it might be hard to get excited about a hair dryer, but this newer style is pretty neat. There are some significant advantages over a traditional, basic hair dryer, and if you're using something like this each day, I think it's worth looking at making a change. The biggest improvements are the more granular air flow controls (slightly, my old unit had high and low, this has low, medium, and high), as well as four heat settings (cool, low, medium, high). Adding one heat setting might not sound like a lot, but between that and one more airflow setting, it really helps. When we blow dry our 8 year old son's hair, the noise was a big issue in the past and he didn't really tolerate it long enough to dry his hair. With this new style, the unit is significantly quieter, and we can run it on a medium heat with a low airflow setting and it's a dull hum that works effectively without being overly loud and disruptive. The design where the suction of air comes in through the handle is a big improvement too, if you have longer hair, there's no longer any danger of sucking it in through the back of the dryer and burning it. The holes in the handle to allow air in are quite fine, so the danger of sucking hair in there is very low. The cord is 66 inches long or so, which is better than my old cheapy, and the weight is hugely improved also- this thing is about half the weight of my old one, making it a lot easier to hold for a longer time when drying. The magnetic tip attachments work great, and the magnet is strong enough to hold the attachment on through use without falling off or anything like that, and both attachments are pretty simple, one is a diffuser, the other is a flat concentrator to allow you to work in a smaller area when styling. This hairdryer is replacing one I’ve had for a long time. I honestly love my new one! It’s really a lovely design - sleek and modern, ergonomically friendly. It fits in my hand just right and is lighter weight than my last one as well! I love that it has more temperature settings than most and the display screen just looks really fancy. The attachments are magnetic! The magnets are strong so the attachments stay in place. It’s also significantly more quiet than any hair dryer I’ve ever owned, which is something I appreciate. I bought this hair dryer to cut down on noise as my hair is long now and it was taking a long time to dry it with my other hair dryer. I love this new dryer! It cuts the drying time in half, leaves my hair shiny and smoother. I have also noticed less static this winter. It is very strong on high which I like as it cuts my dry time but it really blows and you will notice this around your ears so I just avoid that area--feels like you are in a very fast speed boat. Because of the power the ends of my hair knot up a little so I just use my smoothing brush afterwards. It has different settings, it smaller than average in size, and has a nice long cord.
