I do not have a t-shirt business and just use the is as a hobby press. It does well and gets hot evenly. It does take a little time to heat up but you can get all your prep work done in that time. It has a timer so and will beep when time is up. The valve I feel is fair for the use I use it for.

As a teenager I worked at a professional shirt printing shop. We had very expensive heat presses. When my wife decided she wanted a heat press for hobby use I did a lot of research and settled on this one based on the reviews and the price. It works very well. Heard up pretty quickly and maintains heat well. It is very well built and has the right amount of adjustability. It’s a little bit heavy but manageable. Bought for my small business. We use DTF transfers. At first it was kind of finicky trying to figure out the right temperature. We usually use 365° for our cotton shirts, but it wasn’t hot enough for our decals. Ended up adjusting and worked a lot better. Condition came great, very easy to use!

I have an apparel business and have been using this heat press when personalizing jerseys and t shirts. I've had it over a year now with no issues. The platen does heat slightly unevenly (hotter in the front than in the back by about 10 degrees), but I've used it to make at least a 1200 items with no issues.
