Its fast and its heavy. Frame seems to be stable. Comes with many spare parts. Only issue I see is the power on switch bit inside. Oil filled shock absorber and good quality tyres. So it’s value for money so definitely recommend.

It's fairly remarkable that you can get proportional steering and throttle on anything for 40 bucks so it really tempers the less impressive aspects of this truck. It's pretty quick, more than fast enough to appreciate the throttle trim function which works fairly well even if the steering trim is not as good. I was able to get it to run straight it's just very touchy about adjustment. Part of the problem might be the silly amount of toe out it came with, pictures don't quite capture how walleyed this truck looks but I'll see how much if any of that can be adjusted out. And while it is real proportional control it's not nearly as nuanced as you're going to get in a multi hundred dollar car/controller...still 10x better than digital control which you'd expect at this price. You get a little bag of spare parts but I think once those are gone so is the truck, from what I can see it doesn't seem to use standard hobby grade parts for important bits which is a drag. Probably the best fit for this is if you or your kid thinks they really want a real RC car with proportional controls and replaceable parts but don't want to dive in for hundreds of dollars right away. You get this, try it, beat on it and if you are still interested once it really breaks for good then you can go blow a smoking hole in your wallet but if not then no big deal. It's a good deal for what you get, if you're not really abusive you'll get some time with it. My biggest complaint and the reason for knocking off a star is the cotter pin body hold downs, they are a pain to get in and out and will certainly go missing in short order since you need to take the body off to do anything. ... show more

    • Very good reliable fast
Little rc truck is nice and fast reliable and if you put a 2s motor in it, it has little bit more torque than with the stock battery it comes with. And it's very well put together to. Nice hard flexible plastic. Upgrades are a must tho if I can find any. If anybody has a source to make this truck even faster and more reliable please feel free to reply to this review. ... show more

I’ve been playing with it for past couple days and I’ve been using it for its full potential. Love getting it dirty and drift in the dry dirt. So much fun off roading. The media could not be loaded. All the video is my 9 year old driving it. It took a few hard hits and still going strong. The video does not show full speed and capabilities. I own traxxas, hpi, mugen and redcat, so I'm not a noob.

    • Very Solid 4WD RC
This 4WD truck is pretty impressive for what it costs. It lacks some of the precision design and adjustments for it to be in the same category as premium options, but overall it's not really bad. There is some slop in the parts and too much reliance on plastic components makes it a mid-range offering. It's fast, easy to operate, and the inclusion of a couple of batteries makes it capable of fairly long periods of use. This would be an excellent starter product for someone interested in RC, but not experienced enough to spend big bucks on higher end products. This is just basic enough to grasp some experience of the hobby while still having a quick and fun to operate truck. I've got a lot of RC stuff ranging from vintage 1980's pro level products to more modern, competitive products and this one still fills a nice niche in my collection. It's lightweight, compact, and easy to have running in just a few minutes. I wish they'd excluded the lights and focused a tad bit more on making the steering linkages more HD and adjustable. It's fast, it's fun, and if you destroy it then you're not out a lot of money. It fits a need in the market and it's worth a look. I'm pleased and I'd recommend this. ... show more

    • Like the car, hate the false advertising

First off, FALSE ADVERTISING!!! "Oil filled shocks" are not and cannot be filled with oil(dont have any seals etc). "Foam filled" tires are not. "Adjustable pull-rod" are non Adjustable. Says it comes with 2 cvd when it comes with one, and one dogbone. Pictures are trying to fool you into thinking it's a MJX and it's not, but it doesn't need to pretend to be something else. Only the shocks are a real let down, if it had real oil filled shocks I'd give it 5 out of 5 stars... if i wasnt tricked by the ad, just about the shocks, id forgive all else and give it 5 stars... Good car for the money, very fast, if a little "notchy" idk how to describe the throttle when you ket off and get back on the throttle again it feels like the brake kicks on for a split second before it goes. I have bent one axle running it for 3 batteries now(about 65mins total being very hard on it. ... show more
