This is my first RC car, so i'm no expert. But clearly this is a well made and seemingly durable RC car. First, it is easy to set up and from its first appearance, it seems rugged and durable. It has bumpers to protect it from crashes and feels "weighty". It responds instantly to the handheld remotes commands with zero delay. It is very fast - i learned too fast initially for me, but the remote has adjustments to control the speed. It goes over hills and speeds down straightaways effortlessly. It had my young nephew laughing up a storm at the way in which it traversed our "obstacle" course. The only thing i would complain about is the battery door which is a little difficult to get off with a small screw in a slightly awkward location - but that is it. Me and my 4 year old had a blast with this thing in the back yard. We have a dirt hill and a rock feature for this thing to crawl up and over and it had no problems what so ever. The battery is really good and comes with a spare, but this leads to the downside. You have to unscrew a compartment to swap out the batter and/or charge.
