Features

  • This ball joint tool includes five different SAE standard pieces. Forks are designed to interchange with either of the handles, making it easy to remove standard-size ball joints, tie rods, and pitman arms from a variety of cars and light trucks.
  • The 45# steel used in these premium tie rod removers has been forged and heat treated for greater strength and durability, and chrome-plated surfaces protects them from corrosion, extending their service life.
  • The knurled handles of these pitman arms separators provide sure grip for complete control of your work without slippage, and protect tool threads to extend tool lifetime and provide technician comfort.
  • The ball joint separator set includes: (1) Track rod fork 11/16; (2) Ball joint fork 15/16; (3) Pitman arm fork 1-1/8; (4) 7-78 knurled striking handle for use with conventional hammers; (5) 6-3132" adapter handle for use with air hammer. A greater reach and penetration in places where space is limited and difficult to access.
  • Tie rod removal tool set includes a sturdy blow-molded case for neat organization and rapid identification.

  • Cheap and good
Can't beat it. But you can. No need to spend $280 for the same kit from Strapon or Mack. Splits and rolls through joints. *haven't used air hammer but it can take 48oz wails without issue*

  • Super strong!
So I had a 40 year old ball joint that just didn’t want to give up the ghost. It bent a pickle fork that I’ve had for 20 years trying to knock it loose. So I bought this set. First, I connected it to my air hammer and went at it for 15 minutes. It drove in deep, but was just shy of breaking the joint loose. So I left the head in and switched from the air hammer shaft to the normal shaft and beat the crap out of it with my sledge until it finally popped free. To my amazement, it wasn’t bent or anything. This is one tough tool. Highly recommended! And the case is nice too! ... show more

  • Did the trick, and affordable
Used these to make a $700 repair into a $100 repair I could do myself. Not the route most would take, but if you're the type who likes getting your hands dirty? A worthy purchase that can be used over and over again.

  • Damaged
Received today, when I opened the case up it was cracked on the inside. The striking handle threads are buggered up.
