UPDATE: seller was great! Suggested they send a whole new unit. Second unit arrived in much better condition and worked right out of the box!! I love the temp control and timer feature. Bought to use in an RV so these are nice options. Wish it had a tip over OFF feature but so much already in such a cute little unit. Shipping box had a huge hole in it as if a pallet fork pierced it. No visible damage to the contents of the box. However, we unpacked all the pieces, got it all assembled, plugged it in and nothing happened. Fireplace was DOA. We tried 3 different outlets in different rooms in our house and it just wouldn't turn on. Remote didn't work either. So disappointing. This is a nice fireplace. Please note that it is very low, so if you decide to put your tv on it; make sure you buy an extender. Also pay attention to the weight of the tv as you don't want it to be too heavy. The heat output is great; heats my bedroom up very quickly. I wanted one that came pre-assembled so I wouldn't have to do it. The only thing you have to do is screw the fireplace unit into the mantel. It wasn't super hard but you have to use some elbow grease to get the screws thru. I also used my electric screwdriver; it'll save you a lot of time. The only negative is that a couple of the corners were slightly cracked but it wasn't a huge deal breaker for me. It's worth the purchase! ... show more

I looked up a lot of different things for this item. The only thing I didn’t expect is how tiny this thing is. It belongs in a house made for children. My sister wasn’t as happy as I thought she would be with how tiny it was but she was grateful.

The measurements include the edges of the white mantle, not the fireplace insert. I learned this the difficult and annoying way for both me and the seller. I’m giving high stars for the seller accepting the product back, but it wasn’t without a lot of back & forth till we got things sorted.
