  • Sturdy, but could be better
What I like: This is a sturdy mount, and the fitting that allows it to rotate is also sturdy (unlike another bike mount I had, where the clamp that was supposed to hold it from rotating wouldn't tighten enough, and eventually broke). You can rotate it 360 degrees, although of course some positions are more useful than others. The expansion bolts provided for attaching this to a wall (not shown on the seller's page, but see my first photo) are much sturdier than the usual plastic ones you get. Still, I'd plan on putting two screws (on the left-hand side, say) into a stud, and using these expansion bolts on the other two holes. (I just don't trust wallboard...) What I didn't like so much: While the rotation fitting is itself secure (it doesn't rotate when it's locked down), the bar that goes through it has some slop. You can see this in my second and third pictures, where the rotating fitting doesn't move, but you can see that the slotted bar that holds the bike can rotate considerably clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on which end is heavier. I suppose if you're just using this rack to store your bike, that doesn't matter much, just allow for it when measuring how high to attach the mount (lest the rear wheel--which is probably the heavier end of your bike--sit on the ground). I'm using it for part of a home-made bike repair stand, and I do wish it would stay in one position better. Also, the instructions (see my fourth photo) are nearly incomprehensible. The first panel leaves out the fact that the two J-hooks come packaged separately, and need to be attached to the slotted bar (either in the slot, or in the two holes at either end of the bar). I guess that's obvious, but step 3 in the second panels is just weird. And the fourth step leaves out information (attach the four bolts *loosely* to the stand before aligning the stand to the wall), although if you've worked with expansion bolts before you know this. The bottom panel is also strange; I guess the "Expand status" and the "Folding status" refer to the fact that you can fold the stand up when it's not holding a bike to sort of get it out of the way, although it would be easier to see if the two pictures were taken from the same angle--and I can't actually get it to stay all the way up. But the thing labeled "receiving switch" is really a thumb screw that allows you to shorten or lengthen the bar, so your bike sits closer to or further from the wall. The hole for that screw should have been drilled 1/4" further away from the wall plate, because as it is, you can't tighten it all the way if you've made the bar as short as possible. All in all, this is one of the better bike mounts I've seen, but there's still room for improvement. ... show more

  • Perfect for work or storage
I have a relatively small garage and space is a premium. The other storage alternative for my bike was one of the ones with the block and tackle with the cables (kind of like a crane), but that was too much for what I wanted to accomplish. So I got this and I can do two things with it (maybe more, but I haven't tried) - I can hang my bike and work on it or store it on them. Really all I need it to do. And I'm always paranoid about hanging things that have some types of finishes on them (guitars, for example) - so I do have an intermediate material that is non-sticky and non-reactive between the hangar and the bike. Probably don't need it, but again, I'm paranoid. ... show more

  • Should do the job fine if you have to hang from wall and not hang from ceiling
The front bar and the two hooks are very strong and solid. Unfortunately the connection back to the wall is just standard thin wall tubing. It should be plenty fine and not break unless you are doing dumb thing with it or try to hang a big heavy e-bike on it. The pin that the whole arm rests on when you drop it from the upright position is a hollow rivet. This is a pretty weak part, and I don't know why they didn't just use a 5 cent bolt. It should be strong enough though. The mount pad has a 2 sets of bolt holes spaced by a couple inches, so you won't be able to just mount it to a stud. They tried to include pretty nice drywall fasteners, strong metal kind, not those cheap plastic press in plugs. Unfortunately they are poor versions of that type of fastener and very cumbersome to use, especially since the plug doesn't fit through the bracket holes. My road bike is hanging though and feels perfectly secure. And the angle mechanism is nice to be able to hang it level if it matters to you. ... show more

  • Nice wall-mounted bike hanger although the base is a little too wide to screw into studs
This wall mount hanger kit was reasonably easy to install despite having only bare-bones instructions. I wish that the base was a little more narrow so I could easily screw all four screws into a single stud in our garage... I ended up mounting two of the four screws in studs and two in drywall. So far it seems strong if a little wobbly due to the drywall mounting, but it certainly serves its purpose in hanging a bike up and out of the way in a way-too-crowded garage! Overall I'm pleased with this bike hanger. ... show more

  • Very Easy To Assemble & Install. Works Great.
Getting this installed took no time at all. I didn't even need to look at the instructions. Just mount the base to the wall, and the rest of the parts fit together in an obvious (and easy) way. The main part of it comes assembled already. The hooks are well-padded and very durable looking. The rack has a lot of adjustments. I did some experimenting and I was able to adjust it in ways that were probably not intended, but that worked for me. It's a very versatile storage rack. I suspect it can be used to store many things in addition to bikes. A few very minor complaints: - The adjustments require two different size allen wrenches. I'd prefer all adjustment points to use one size hex wrench. But that's a minor thing. - The telescoping tubing has a bit of slop in it, even when tightened. When you are putting your bike on or taking it off, that creates an impression of instability. In reality, especially when your bike is stored on it, it's plenty stable and strong. - Nothing else. I took photos of the finished project, but the rest of my garage is too messy so I didn't post them. But this bike wall mount is step one of organizing my garage, and it has gotten me off to a great start. Overall, I love this Zacro Bike Wall Mount. I got it mounted almost before the Amazon truck was down my road and I immediately got my bike up off the floor, which is awesome. This rack does a great job, and now I can continue my organizing. ... show more
