    • Terrible for me side sleeping, amazing for curly hair

If you've got mixed levels of curly hair like I do, you've probably tried the plopping method and satin pillowcases and all the other tricks. I tend to wake up with better curls if I go to bed with my hair still wet, though I've never had results THIS GOOD before. I can't tell if it's the percale cotton material or the way it's constructed with valleys or even if it's the filling, but with and without an extra cotton pillowcase, going to sleep on this with still wet or damp hair has yielded the most clearly formed curls of my life short of using curlers! If you have fine curly hair that you struggle to coax into clearly defined curls like me, this might be your new holy grail. And this pillow's machine washable to boot! That said, it's not quite the right pillow for me as a side sleeper. I've long needed a new pillow as I frankly haven't liked the one I've been using since i got it on 2020, but didn't dislike it enough to spend more money on a replacement. I finally caved and bought 2, this one and the Sleep Restoration pillows (because a review on the Beckham pillows mentioned they were identical but cheaper, I used the same pillowcase set on each). I've been using both for a couple weeks each to make sure I've given them a solid try, instead of being turned off just simply because it's new and unfamiliar. Pillows are intensely personal and we all have different preferences that are informed by everything from the weight of our heads to the angle of our shoulders. That said, this pillow, while having the most amazing loft even without fluffing (and plenty when fluffed), somehow has very little supportive substance in it. That's not to say it's a bad pillow - this one lets your head sink in, instead of the sort of pressure = compression feeling that most non-luxury pillows on the market today have. I don't like the feeling of a memory foam pillow, and this delightfully feels like a Real Pillow. For me, though, it's not quite stuffed with as much filling would be needed to support my head and neck when I turn on my side. It's there, but it needs extra help from a bunched up corner of my blankets or my arm. If you have narrower shoulders this might work for you as a side sleeper pillow, whereas if you have broad shoulders like me you'll probably get that same uncomfortable stretch in the neck from insufficient support. But I liked how this felt so much that I bought their other Moon Pillow (the one with green piping and embroidered pineapple) to test out, since from the product images that one is 8 inches tall where this one is 6 inches tall. Hoping that 2 inch difference in starting loft translates into the support I need for side sleeping. Review will be added (and this one updated) once I've thoroughly tested that one. Hoping that one is The One, or can be combined with this one to make the perfect pillow stack. In the meantime, this feels amazing stacked at the top of a pile for reading or watching TV. And bunching up for side sleeping is doable, just a bit of a pain when I can't find quite grab the right amount of blanket material. But I will say I reach for this one more than my original too-firm pillow and the Sleep Restoration pillow despite it not being thick enough for me, if that tells you anything. ... show more

Obviously pillows are a very personal preference. I have been searching for a few years now (off and on) for a replacement for my favorite sleeping pillow which was way too old and had gotten a hole which I attempted to repair but it had lost some filling and it was just never the same. I generally sleep on my side and occasionally on my stomach. I prefer a relatively squishy pillow but at the same time don't like a totally flat pillow. This pillow is perfect for me so far. I ordered a 2nd one to save for when this one is on the way out. This has some fluff too it but not too much and is soft enough to squish up however I want it. You wouldn't think it would be that hard to find but I have purchased at least 6 other pillows prior to this one and they were never quite right.     • No more neck pain when sleeping!!

I have spent so much money on pillows to find the right one. I have had two neck surgeries and in need of another surgery. I switch out my pillows depending on how my neck is feeling. Since I’ve bought this pillow I have yet to wake up from neck pain. I have never ordered a pillow online because I need to “feel” them. Reading the reviews wanted me to at least try it. Especially because it’s not super expensive like the pillows I’ve bought in the past. I have been sleeping with this pillow for a month now. I have found the perfect pillow!! It’s not too soft and not too hard. It fluffs back up and doesn’t go flat while your are using it. I highly recommend especially if you have any neck and back pain. When I saw this I had to have one. It is wonderful. Although it is supportive, it is also so soft and comfortable and easy to conform for perfection. I like it more without a pillow case. I wash it every several weeks on the gentle cycle in cold water with a little bleach and dry it in the dryer. I then let it dry another 24 hours by itself and then place it back in the dryer and it comes out perfect. My neck had been hurting from the new pillows I had purchased that were soft but lofty. Replacing it with this has resolved my neck pain. I will purchase another one when money allows and they are on sale. I am so glad I found this. I sleep so much better too. ... show more

This pillow is awful for sleeping directly on. I like lower pillows for side sleeping but I feel like it doesn’t give enough support and it sinks way too much to where you don’t feel like you’re sleeping on a pillow. I was going to return it BUT i found that this is the BEST pillow for putting between your legs when side sleeping. It is so soft and the sinking feeling is so comfortable for your legs and better than any type of body pillow. So for a between your legs type of pillow I actually really love this pillow. ... show more
