Received hose and nozzle. Appears brand new and beautiful. There was no sign of use but water would not go through. Found mud inside the hose! What??

    • A coiled hose without permanently affixed hardware.

Coiled hoses can be cumbersome when you need a lot of length and need to pull the hose to get it. When pulling on coiled hoses, they do tend to kink up. This is inescapable in my experience. However, this coiled hose offers a feature that I have not seen in any of the coiled hoses I’ve used thus far in my lifetime. The spray head is removable, not permanently affixed like all the coiled hoses I’ve owned. The spray head has many different settings, but is not of the greatest quality. Also, the hose tends to leak profusely at every connection point. One way to remedy the issue is to use plumber’s thread tape. I would use this on both the spigot as well as the end that attaches to the spray nozzle. It’s a bit on the heavy side, so I am hoping that the weight is indicative of the hose’s durability. Once the leak issue is addressed, this is a great coiled hose to use for light gardening. ... show more

This hose is what I would call extra average. It gets a 4th star due to how thick the actual hose is. It's a bit heavier than I was hoping... but that might be great for you, if you're looking for a hose to connect to your house. I wanted one for my garage sink to bathe my dogs using warmer water. Don't get me wrong, it does exactly that. However, it's a bit heavy for a sink faucet if it's not super sturdy, a spigot will have no trouble. The nozzle feels pretty cheap and would probably not last too long, but it does spray really well with no clogged holes like the last two I've gotten at lowes. I like the curly style hose as it doesn't take near as much room as a regular hose and it stretches a long way. I am not a big fan of the fact that there's not a good handle to attach the nozzle to the hose. The little rubber part slides down too easily. Overall, it's a hose and it just works. ... show more

I’ve gone through quite a few expandable hoses, living in the desert, For some reason I can’t get more than a season out of them and then they spring a leak, often in the middle of the hose. This coiled expanding house is a little different, and the material is pretty heavy duty but, as another reviewer has commented, when the water’s running it’s not the easiest to manage. The length is fine if you don’t need a long hose (no stars off for that; I knew what I was buying), and the spray nozzle works exactly as you'd expect, with no leaks. I love the trigger-less nozzles, too, particularly if you want to leave the hose drip onto a plant. Just open the thumb lever a little and forget it. The trigger style always had me fighting with the faucet and trying to open it JUST enough for a steady drip. Good little garden hose and nozzle. ... show more

I've always wanted one of these because the coil will just go back to its original form to save space. The color is vibrant. The spray head has several functions and I believe it was up to 10. The hose and sprayer combination have a nice, quality feel. This is a typical sprayer with several options that will serve every need in your yard. You can see from the first photograph that the hose recoils nicely to a clean “rest” position. The problem with this hose is this: when you stretch it out, the hose retains its coils. This causes the 33’ hose to only generate a useful length of 20 to 25 feet. Furthermore, as you approach a stretched length of 25 feet, the hose exerts a recoil force and becomes “heavy.” If you have a small garden area on one side of the house, this hose will work great. If you are hunting a hose that truly stretches to a useful length of 33 feet, keep hunting. ... show more

I have an area of my yard that no water hose can rage but I do have a faucet in that area. I got this holes because it's gonna be easy to store by being a coil and the coil is very strong on this holes. It's very easy to put together out of the box and it's easy that the hand controls are able to be removed with your thumb. I think the quality is great and I feel like the functionality is great as well and I really appreciate the thought that went into this house and I'm very happy. ... show more
