  • Fantastic Elliptical, Whisper Quiet!
Style: Elliptical machine
we love this machine and are pleasantly surprised by how silent it runs. you could exercise while someone else had a nap in the same room. it's amazing. the resistance levels range from easy jog all the way up to trudging through heavy snow. you don't have to use the handles either. they add challenge to the arms when you turn the resistance up or can otherwise simply help you balance. it's easy to get a smooth run going on the pedals. the machine operates smoothly and is sturdy. it looks and feels very 'professional' despite its compact size and light weight.. and affordable price tag! the assembly instructions were not the best, but the manufacturer also includes an assembly video with a QR link, and the video is great. it made the remaining assembly much easier. couldn't recommend this thing enough. ... show more

  • Affordable workout
Style: Elliptical machine
A solid workout for a great and affordable price. Aside from a hiccup putting the machine together (it was my own fault since I didn’t read the instructions closely), everything went smoothly.

  • Affordable elliptical machine, but assembly is difficult
Style: Elliptical machine
First off I ordered this and a rower both from Yosuda. I really enjoy the rower and the elliptical I think will be a nice addition to my selection of cardio options. For reference on leg day (twice a week) I will use the elliptical, on back day I will use the rower (twice a week) and the rest of the week I will use my trusty old stationary bike unless weather allows for me to simply go for a walk. Yes, I do cardio everyday. The machine works well once you figure out how to put it together and run to the hardware store to get the proper size bolts and nuts to attach the bottom half of the legs. But first you have to struggle to get this out of the box. I have never seen so much packing tape used to secure styro foam and plastic wrappings to the inside of a box in my life! It took 30 minutes to get it out of the box and remove all the packing material just to get started with the assembly. The bolt provided with this machine for the bottom half of the legs is too thick in diameter to ever fit together. Once you line it up and try to tighten it it stops turning. The reason is the diameter is correct just before the first ridge on the bolt but with the ridges to make the bolt threaded is a larger diameter. $11 dollars later at the hardware store the problem is solved by buying two new bolts and nuts. Actual assembly took me an hour and half by myself and I skipped connecting the lines for the resistance and sensors since the pole they run thru is too narrow due to a post running thru the middle of it. Clearly there are design flaws here that could have been fixed had they done testing on the assembly of it before making it available for purchase. Also the instructions are awful. In their defense the layout of parts is well thought out. So for a basic elliptical with no sensors or resistance it should be fine since it is sturdy. I considered returning this since I have a Gazelle Edge that I bought 10 years ago maybe that never really has been used much so it looks like new and I think it is basically a cheap elliptical. However it does not have an adjustment for resistance and you glide up and down in a straight motion instead of in a more natural walking movement that the elliptical provides. Update: I have built countless pieces of gym equipment over the years (weight trees, smith machines, squat racks, half racks, hexbell racks, rower, stationary bike, squat stands) so I have a pretty good idea of how to assemble them by now. I seriously doubt that I failed to double check to be sure all bolts and nuts were secure after assembling this, however it didn't feel level when using it, but the machine was since all the legs sat flat. Now that I have had it a month (but not even used it that long since as stated earlier I had to get replacement parts for this) it literally fell apart while using it! Apparently as you use the optional swinging arms for a full body workout as opposed to the stationary arms for support when focusing more so on your legs, one of the swinging arms fell to the ground. I have tightened it back up and if it comes loose again it must be that they supply the wrong type of nut. I have a feeling a replacement lock nut will solve this problem instead of using the regular nut as supplied. Because of this I have revised my rating and it is now a 2 star instead of a 3 star. If this falls apart even after replacing the nut I will change this to 1 star. I am so dissappointed in this purchase! 2nd and final update: This is total crap! I have to tighten everything before my workouts and stop during use to retighten everything. My biggest gripe is the noise where it sounds like the pedals are dragging but they aren't. Why do they make the pedals use another bolt to attach them to the rear bolt section on each side? This should be one piece per side. These bolts by the pedals actually loosen some. The worst part is that as I use this I am wearing away the metal around the rear bolts (where my replacement bolts that actually fit have to go thru). I can actually see the paint wearing off. I thought it just needed lubrication so I use a non toxic aerosol spray specifically designed for metal moving parts (gym equipment and other items) everyday prior to use. No change even with that, the nuts and bolts get hot within 15 minutes of using this machine which is why I see the paint wearing off. I have found that they still loosen some I guess because of how wobbly this machine is. If I had not wasted too much time trying to make this work (and did not already toss the box) I would have returned it for a refund. Like I said before the rower works great. I have had zero issues with the rower I bought from the same company the same day. Now I am left wondering did I get lucky with rower purchase or unlucky with the elliptical purchase? I am not willing to try a third item from them to find out. Looks like I will start using my old Gazelle that always works in place of this elliptical. ... show more

  • Not a typical elipitical
Style: Elliptical machine
I was hoping this would be a good elipitical but its more of a stair elipitical as it does not do a full stride. It is a good machine and does give a good workout but it works the legs heavily. I can only do abt 15 min on it right now as it just works the legs so much they get burning. I do like its small size. I did need to buy a mat to put under it as it sits on carpet and is a bit wobbly. Oh and the timer/distance reader is difficult to see while working out. For a true elipitical machine unfortunately it will need to be one of the larger more expensive ones. This was easy to put together and I did it myself in about an hour. (I am 57 yr old woman). If you looking for a good leg workout with cardio this is a great machine for that. In the end I decided to keep it but its definately not what I was looking/hoping for. ... show more
