Mat is completely clear so that floor shows through it true to color. It comes in a tight roll but unrolls easily. I placed some heavy books on the edges and left them overnight. Next day mat was flat. A very good value for the money. I read another review that says it slips on the floor. It does slip a little but is easily moved. I think any mat on a hard surface floor would probably slip a little. It's not like the carpet mats that have those grippers. I like this mat and feel it will serve my needs for some time. Bought this originally for low shag carpet, and it seemed to work ok, then when I moved my office to an offset tile floor with grooves, it was not sufficient. It will dent in a short period of time, and if you don't have something to push off, the chair will stick.

I wasn't sure how well this product was going to do, because it arrived all rolled up. But once it settled down, it now lays perfectly flat and smooth. It is nice and clear. The mat has done a perfect job in keeping my wood floor underneath it from becoming scratched by my office desk chair. Well i did not consider that without the plastic nubs on the bottom, this floor mat would slide around constantly. Does not work well, unless perhaps you had hard wood floors or tile or something non-carpet.
