I purchased these casters because I just moved into a new home with LVP floors and I thought they would be good for the floors. After a couple of weeks I noticed that the joints in the flooring were separating. What I found was that the builder used a plank with preinstalled padding and that the wheels were causing the floor joints to fail because there was no support under the joints. I don't blame the wheels for the failure of the floor, but if you plan on buying a Rollerblade type of wheel, you need to know that the narrowness of the wheel on finger jointed flooring, with gaps under the joints, may cause you flooring issues. ... show more

I Got this Plastic Sheet to put under my very heavy organ that I would not have been able to move on my own across the floor, But it slides really easy on this plastic. These old organs were built very heavy and I had to have a way to slide it away from the wall without further irritating my hernia!

If you have a larger desk that you multi-task with it, get the larger size mat. I watch TV from my desk and pull the chair away from the desk to view. The chair rolls over the edge a bit. Also, the longer rug needles don't stop the movement of the mat so I wouldn't worry about this fact when buying a mat, just get one with the right size and holds up to the weight from the chair and yourself. ... show more

1. It arrives tightly coiled up. It is very hard to get it flat even with using heat and heavy books to try to flatten it out. I never got the edges fully flat which is also annoying when trying to lay it out on carpet. They need to ship it in a flat box which might be more of a shipping pain, but will give the customer much less pain when received. 2. Since I didnt get it totally flat, when trying to lay it out on carpet the edges would grab the carpet and rip up threads. Also the treads are very sharp and cut me while trying to flatten it, and also are too sharp when using on carpet, which is literally the purpose of having treads... They need to be sanded down. Also, the piece of plastic was cut randomly so some treads are on the very edge of the piece, some cut in half making them even more sharp and hard to deal with. 3. Cracks are already forming after 6 months of daily use. Not worth the money for what I'm assuming will be roughly 1 year of use before it is too cracked and degraded. This mat, like many I've used over the last 20 years is good for about 18-24 months. At that point, it's literally falling apart and doing more harm than good for your carpet due to cracks allowing the carpet fibers to get pinched and pulled, and holes from where the studs on the bottom breaking off, taking a chunk of the top of the mat with them. It's not a "bad" mat, it's just average, and these things are wear and tear items. They sacrifice themselves to save your flooring. As long as you aren't expecting more than that, this should work well for you for a year or two. ... show more

This was the large 4 x 5 foot (48" x 60") carpet mat. I was replacing a mat that was too small that the wheels kept falling off the old mat and would get stuck. This one is just the right size for my desk. Don't buy one smaller than this.

I was looking for a floor mat for my office and this one looked promising. We had to lay it in the sun for a few hours to get the flat look we wanted. This is a big upgrade from the old plastic ones that crack. I have had it for a few weeks and it is still perfectly clear with no scratches or dents.

    • Works Fine But Won't Purchase Again

I have had this for a few weeks now and so far all I can say is, it works as intended, sort of. When I got the package in the mail it had the middle edge cracked and chunks broke off, although not enough to make it unusable. Returning would have been a pain due to the box being pretty mangled and the struggle to roll it back up, so I dealt with it. After almost a month the edges still have not flattened, although I only did a few minutes of heating it with a hairdryer so I may just need to put more heat on it. Either way, for just wanting a simple mat to roll my chair on carpet it has been more of a headache than I thought. When I replace it in the future, I will not be ordering anything that is rolled up as it seems to just be a huge pain to work with. I would not recommend, try to find something that doesn't need to be unrolled and instead either comes flat already, or something that can be hooked together (Like a tongue and groove style system) ... show more
