I read all the reviews about this system. I was looking for a home theater surround sound for movies. Didn’t want to spend what I did but pulled the trigger anyways. I’m so happy that I did. Our family room is an open concept (family room to kitchen) with 3 walls. This system is exactly what I was looking for. The clarity is fantastic! We are seniors and our hearing isn’t as good as when we were younger. Maybe from listening to AC/DC too loud in our younger years. lol If you’re looking for a good surround sound for movies I recommend this system to everyone. Easy to set up. ... show more

    • Worth the price just for the reciever
Reciever is really nice. The sub leaves alot to desire. Severely under performed and the surrouns speakers aren't theater great either. I purchased cause I want to build a system and I figured the reciever is good and ill just throw the surround speakers in my garage and upgrade the home theater system with better speakers ... show more

I replaced an old 2.1 soundbar with this unit. Followed the instructions for setup and it sounds amazing. It isn’t super high end, but for the price point of this system it truely amazed me. We watched dune to try it out and really could enjoy the movie! Wife was watching fire country and when it started raining on the show…she thought that it was actually raining. As everything gets to a smaller use of space, this system is Unbelievable. I spent over 14X on our previous surround sound system from the highest end components and they can't compare. Over priced and worthless. Does not come with instructions for remote. The product itself is way over price for a piece of junk that won't even stay powered on. If this is what Yamaha has to offer then I would advise against every buying any Yamaha products.
