    • Easy to install and powerful sound!
We wanted to upgrade our sound system. Delivery and packaging were great! I am not tech savvy by any means but was able to install this with no issues! The different setting options are great that you can adjust to whatever you are watching. I like the sleek design of the speakers that I can still have the powerful sound without the bulky speakers all over the room. Only downside is the receiver is a bit on the bulky side so I had to buy a platform for it to be able to sit on my floating tv stand. But other than that this is a great system! ... show more

Took a bit to get setup (wish the speakers were wireless) but once setup it works really well. Depending on the movie it's a little hard to hear them speaking so you'll have to turn it up. Haven't fully done turned that aspect. But has many different options to adjust the sound. Subwoofer is great for it's size. Would recommend. ... show more

Bought to replace another Yamaha that we have used for 8 years. I like the sound quality and the way that builds the immersive experience. I used connected to a LG UR8000 and a PlayStation 5. It is very easy to install. The only major topic is that I couldn't stream Apple Music through my Android Phone. I still need to test with the iPhone. (But I was able to stream via Chromecast 4K). This system is just like a beautiful woman. It looks awesome and sounds even better. If it doesn't want to work, then you are just gonna have to deal with it for a while, but is really worth it in the long run. All your friends will comment on how great it is so long they don't have to put up with the little details. They definitely don't get to touch it but they can admire. Samsung TV's will fight you with this. About the only way I get it to work long term is to run an expensive optical cable from the tv to the unit. No Problems now but it defeats the purpose of all those hdmi's on the back. To sum up, by the time you realize how much trouble this is, you have already spent so much time and money on it, you will just be happy to sit down and watch tv. ... show more

Over priced and worthless. Does not come with instructions for remote. The product itself is way over price for a piece of junk that won't even stay powered on. If this is what Yamaha has to offer then I would advise against every buying any Yamaha products. This is particularly disappointing as Yamaha provided excellent products in the past, seems very few companies care a quality any longer. ... show more

I read all the reviews about this system. I was looking for a home theater surround sound for movies. Didn’t want to spend what I did but pulled the trigger anyways. I’m so happy that I did. Our family room is an open concept (family room to kitchen) with 3 walls. This system is exactly what I was looking for. The clarity is fantastic! We are seniors and our hearing isn’t as good as when we were younger. Maybe from listening to AC/DC too loud in our younger years. lol If you’re looking for a good surround sound for movies I recommend this system to everyone. Easy to set up. ... show more

    • Nice Starter theater system with nice sound but tricky setup.
This is a nice system for the price. It comes with everything you need to get started in theater systems without blowing the bank and still provides awesome sound. It comes with 2 front and 2 rear speakers and a small subwoofer. The subwoofer in the system is the NS-SW050 which is an 8" 50w sub. that is better than if you had no sub, BUT if you purchase a larger powered sub later on it will make a MUCH BIGGER difference! I connected my system not as a surround but as just a music streaming stereo player and have it powering a pair of Klipsch Reference R-620F's. After pulling out my hair with the MusicCast app. I finally got it to connect with my Amazon music and WOW, what a beautiful full sound! I do not understand WHY it is so difficult for all these companies that put out their own apps. for their streaming equipment to offer a simple way to search for and connect to most if not all the streaming devices available today. The first company that invests in the tech and hardware to do that will have me sold for life. BE prepared to jump through hoops with MULTIPLE apps. to finally get some music streaming out of your system BUT it is no different than with ALL the major manufacturers that offer streaming devices. Overall a good system to start with and it offers some nice sound which if later you start adding some good speakers and nicer sub it will make you happy! ... show more
