I have many speakers such as home stereo, separate speakers for just music and studio monitors. my wife wanted something just for her. I bought a reciever, cd/DVD player and the above speakers. it great sound ( a little to much mids ) but over all a great bookshelf speaker. my wife loves the system(which was the point, she also doesn't give a hoot about mids). I would rate these at 4.5 stars. she gave the 5. compact,good value, connection I seconds........and.... great value......wife's or partners out there, make your buy them...........performance like the big boys, fills the room with great crisp highs and great lows. range in my apt I fantastic............great stuff for the money........Donnie P ... show more

I have plenty of experience in speakers, and what they are able to do with these 3.5" woofers in terms of bass surprised me. They DO go down to 60hz before it rolls off. And if you pair it with a subwoofer, it meshes well. Overall sound is comparable to what we used to get with 5" speakers from 20 years ago; these are very dense. Built right. Tough. The grilles wont fall off. The tweeters are capable of VERY high quality treble. Pristine. Loud. They require the grille tho, or treble peaks too harsh. The only thing of concern is accurate midrange, they need EQing on the mid. It reminds me of playing music on a small bluetooth speaker, just way way way louder, just how theres still a gap in the midrange that you will hear. Does not fill out the soundstage in a room the way larger speakers do, but gets loud, and sounds entirely acceptable - if you sit in the sweet spot + and EQ would make it better. Anyone should enjoy it @ $50 Would recommend again ... show more

I am always on the hunt for decent audio products for the price. These speakers are no different in my personal opinion. The German build quality reminds me of when tower speakers were designed to be the best out there. The "horn tweeter" is okay at low volumes, but the bass coming from the mid range speakers is fantastic in small to medium sized spaces. They really fill the room with noise. Movies and music sound amazing to my ears from these small speakers, and my family enjoys the depth of sounds that these can produce in a cinema experience. I would definitely love to step it up in wattage at some point, since these only produce 60w total for the pair. Most likely a set of Dayton drivers and tweeters can make this even better. But for this price range, it's still a decent setup. ... show more

WAS VERY SKEPTICAL ABOUT THSE SPEAKERS. NOT TO LARGE BUT THE SOUND IS GREAT AND THEY LOOK GREAT ON MY BOOK SHELF. THE SOUND QUALITY IS JUST WHAT NEEDED. I USED THEM TO HOOK UP TO MY BLUE TOOTH STEREO AND MY FIRESTICK. WATCHING MOVIES TAKES ON A WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE WITH THE RIGHT SOUND.

I got these to pair with a really nice 30-year-old Pioneer stereo that I picked up. They sound great with a balanced sound - plenty enough bass and clean treble for classic rock. The sound is rich and works well at both loud and soft volumes. You can't beat these for the price.
