I have been wanting to add a subwoofer to my system for some time, Well, after looking around I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the Klipsch Synergy Black Label Sub-120 12”. All I can say is I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner! Connection and setup was a snap. I plugged the RCA cable (not supplied) into my receiver and then the rear of the subwoofer. The instructions were clear and made selecting the correct connections easy. I then plugged the power cable into the outlet and proceeded to set up the new addition to my system. The first thing I noticed is the subwoofer power remained off until I applied the power to my receiver. When I did, a small LED in the upper left corner of the subwoofer (visible through the grill cover) came on indicating it was now ready to rock. With both the rear adjustments(volume and low pass adjust) set to approximately 1/3rd the range of travel and haven't had to look back. Any final adjustments that needed to be made I took care of with my receiver. All I can say is Wow! This thing has added a whole new dimension to my TV/Stereo system. This speaker sits directly on my floor (high end vinyl flooring over concrete) and sounds phenomenal. I've listened to everything from classic music to rock, TV shows and Action movies and it adds a whole new dimension to everything with the deep and rich bass. I have always owned and loved Bose speakers and never thought I could improve their sound. Well this device does just that. I love the fact that the range of adjustment on this speaker really lets you dial in the amount of low end that you want or need. I also provides a phasing switch on the rear panel that I tried to change and frankly couldn't notice one phase from the other. It's nice to know if you do need it however it is there. The cabinet and speaker cover look great alongside my other speakers and match almost perfectly. Just a word of warning, this beast is heavy (as I would expect). Likewise if you turn it up, be prepared to knock things off the walls because this speaker is definitely capable of doing it. If you are considering a subwoofer, stop looking and get this one! My quite old JBL subwoofer finally died out on me so I was looking for an affordable replacement. The reviews on here were excellent and the price point was very good. The sub is in a smaller room and I've had to turn it down quite a bit as it's way more than I needed for that room but everything else about it has been excellent and I didn't over spend to get something that wasn't enough. Very happy- wouldn't say the sound quality is quite as good as my old JBL but it's definitely more than adequate for what I needed and the movies sound great again. ... show more

After 20+ years of faithful service, my old subwoofer finally gave up. Finding something that would have versatile settings, input options, and could deliver the depth of bass I was looking for, became a more lengthy process than I thought it would be. This unit was very simple to install, and within minutes my sound system was back in business. The unit looks great and has a nice finish. Crossover frequency settings offer the ability to tweak to your auditory preference. This unit especially delivers when watching movies where you can really feels those blasts, thus, and roars. The dinosaurs of Jurassic Park never sounded more ominous and ferocious! Solid sound, great depth of bass, and easy installation make this a real winner in my book. I’d recently decided to spend a bit of money on a home sound system. Although I went with a cheaper two channel amp (with a dedicated sub output) I wanted to make sure I’d given a bit more to the speakers I chose (the idea is eventually this system will move to the garage) I’d been watching the Klipsch 200 bookshelf speakers for several months and was able to grab them at a greatly reduced cost… $128 for the pair. My initial intent was as to spend a small amount of money for the entire system but to make sure I purchased a great sounding speakers… the Klipsch have not let me down! Watching the price on the sub (wasn’t in too much of a hurry for the system) afforded me to grab this at a price point I was very comfortable and excited about!! Now for the actual sub review!! 😉 This thing is incredible… the amount of bass it produces is astonishing to me (PLEASE NOTE… the gain isn’t even a third of the way up) The sound is house filling and is felt throughout our home! It THUNDEROUS!!! We’ve tested it out with everything from 50 Cent, Ozzy, Kansas, Beastie Boys, Metallica (my fav), Eminem, Guns And Roses, System Of A Down and Journey (I’ll stop there) the sound is clear, room shaking and just adds that element that all music needs!! The cabinet has a good amount of weight to it… is in a beautiful black wood grain… very sturdy and strong just completely compliments our decor (I’m leaving off the front baffle screen because of the copper infused cone… it’s gorgeous!!!) I am STUPID EXCITED about this product and HIGHLY recommend it and Klipsch as a whole! This sub sounds like my 1000 watt 12”(2) Alpine car audio system Very Pleased!!! ... show more
