  • Great value for the price
Style: Mini Circular Saw
I decided to buy this verses renting one from Home Depot. It paid for itself in the first job. This machine is a workhorse. The only thing I struggled with was finding a 30 amp breaker to run it. It does ok on a 20 amp breaker but you fave to really watch how much you push it or it will trip the breaker. Overall really solid machine! ... show more

  • Gets the job done
Style: Electric Circular Saw
I don’t have to cut concrete very often so I did not want to spend the money on a name brand saw and thought I would give this a try. It is easy to use and cuts straight. Not very heavy compared to a gas saw. As others have said you cannot push it or you will trip your breaker. I had it plugged into a 20amp circuit and it tripped anytime I tried to hurry. Let the saw do the work and it is fine. ... show more

  • It's fairly cheap and it works...however...
I purchased this to cut some pavement on my patio after a couple of homeadvisor.com contractors blew me off ('nother story entirely...). Pairing it with a Bosch 14" diamond saw blade, it made the cuts fairly easily. But there are a few caveats: (1) The water hose and attachments do not come with hose clips, so the hoses will slip off in use. A quick trip to your local hardware store will cure it, but these should have been included (we're talking less than a buck to add five small hose clips to the package). (2) The black plastic hose attachment is a press-on fitting for what looks like 1/2-inch hose. I initially thought it was a garden hose fitting (which would have made more sense). Had to purchase a short utility hose and some sealing tape, cut the end off, press-fit it, and tape it to make a good connection. Not intuitive and again, another trip to the hardware store. (3) The blade visual indexing is severely lacking; you can (barely) see the front index mark but there is no rear index mark, so trying to maintain a straight cut can be a challenge. (4) Even when set up for 90-degree cuts, the unit tilts a couple of degrees, so your cuts are always off a little bit. If you need absolute 90-degree cuts, you may want to look elsewhere. (5) Instructions read like they were written by a subject matter expert whose first language was not English (surprise). I'm a technical writer. These should have been better. Particularly when the device being described will traumatically amputate body parts in a split second. (6) This thing will sag (brown-out) whatever household electrical circuit it's on, so you'll need to ensure it's isolated on a 20A breaker. Otherwise, your significant other may not be happy (I put it on the garage circuit...). Overall, the XtremepowerUS Concrete Saw works okay. It won't power through concrete like its larger gas-powered commercial cousins, but with a little patience and some proper setup, it will get the job done. The jury is out on longevity. I have quite a bit of pavement to cut out, so it should be a good litmus test for whether it will last. Potential buyers just need to be aware of the above issues, so you'll be prepared to re-engineer things a bit to get it working properly. Recommended, but YMMV. ... show more

  • 1st saw dead, replacement worked okay, gas saws are more powerful.
Did not work out of the box/no power. Waiting for sellers response. 5/22/2020 Will have to modify water connection. 6/7/2020 Update, Seller replaced the saw as fast as possible, two thumbs up for that. Motor does not work instantly when you squeeze the trigger but it does do a decent job of cutting. I did a 5" plunge 36" cut in hard limestone. Water setup not the best, ended up letting water just run into the cut. Keep in mind this it *NOT* a strong gas powered saw so you have to go slow and take your time. Did not trip my 15amp breaker running for 10 minutes for the cut, and 30' light duty cord. 8/2/2021 motor on saw just died, did not use this saw very much. DO NOT BUY THIS SAW. I will rent one as needed moving forward. ... show more

  • Makes butter out of concrete
Style: Electric Circular Saw
This product is so good, you can do it like the pros. Had to jackhammer only one piece, the others I grabbed out by hand. Cautionary note: Must use 20 amp circuit,....15 amp will pop breaker. A short 12 gauge(10 ft) will work BUT do not use ordinary extension,...it will melt cord. That aside, this product operates very well and for the price,... it's a no brainer ... show more

  • this saw worked great, had plenty of power and the blade cuts brick like butter and did not go dull
Style: Electric Circular Saw
I used the saw to cut on opening in a brick wall for an air conditioner installation. The saw cut the brick easily and did not seem to even dull the blade when the project was finished. the saw is heavy and I made a horizontal support ledge that I temporarily attached to the wall to support the weight of the saw. I do not think I could have made the horizontal cuts without using the ledge. Is an awesome saw and I am happy it worked so well for me ... show more

  • Fair price and good work but weak/ Water supply line not favor
Style: Mini Circular Saw
12 inch concrete foundation wall, I cut half of my project because it is not strong enough. However, It seems like working fine for less than 5 inch tick wall. I try to cut 12 inch wall. I have to reset it again and again because of blade spine stopped.

  • One of my BEST DIY tool purchases
The title says it all... Over the last 2 years I have cut in all new sewer and all new interior perimeter french drain in my basement. My day job was a construction engineer, focused on concrete inspection. Iv'e seen and used many different cutting tools, and this is NOT a professional level tool, but for the daring DIY'er its simply perfect. Power: It has plenty, but not much. ie it cuts fine, but just don't force it. About 5lb of pressure with sliding/ramping cuts about 1" per stroke worked great for me. If you bog it down, it will overheat, and actually slow down. Just get a good pair of keen pads, plenty of water, and enjoy the cut. Features: the vacuum connection wasn't all that useful for me... just got too clunky with the power cord, the hose, and the shop vac hose. With plenty of water, and a cheap mask... its really not needed if you keep things wet. The bottom plate isn't that useful either, at least not for my all full depth cuts. the wheels thought... were awesome! Made cutting a breeze. Key question: knowing what I know now... did I make the right purchasing decision... YES. ... show more
