  • Great Saw at a great price.
Style: 10" Table Saw
I bought this as a replacement for a 30 year old Craftsman table saw. I understood the limitations of a portable job site saw but have to say it does the job better than I was used to. Plenty of power. I've ripped dozens of 2x6's without it complain or giving me any problems. Fence easily held it's ground while ripping 16' lengths. Setup was fairly straightforward and getting it locked in to cut straight was not a problem. Is it as durable as my old saw? No. I don't think it will last 30 years but it is easily moved, stored and does the job I need it to. The table is flat and straight. I'm even considering building a table for it for larger jobs. ... show more

  • Really is an excellent saw
Style: 10" Table Saw
I am a lifelong DIY and needed a new table saw and read all the great reviews on this saw and decided to try it. It really is an awesome saw. I bought it for a large remodeling project and I like everything about it! Cuts extremely accurately, a pleasure to use, easy to move around, functional accessories which all store cleverly on the saw within easy reach. Folds for easy transport and storage. Very durable. ... show more

  • Very loud, but a good saw.
Style: 10" Table Saw
This skil tablesaw is definitely worth the money. It has a rec companion fence that provides accurate positioning. It feels a bit cheap, but I’m confident it will last me quite a while. Everything on was square out of the box and there are good couple of videos on YouTube, which cover this saw. The legs seem stable and lock into place easily. The one drawback to this saw is that it’s very loud! ... show more

  • Awesome saws
Style: 10" Table Saw
There is nothing bad to say about this product. It cuts like a dream. Easy to lock the fence and the extra wide fence is the best. The off switch has a plastic peace over the off button so you can slap it or hit it wit your knee if something went wrong. You have to hold the on button in for 5 seconds for the saw to say on this pervents it to be turned on accidentally. Saw has a brake on it so the blade stops pretty fast. The saw is easy to carry with one hand just keep the table top pointed to you. it weighs 51 lbs. Lesgs are sturdy and fast to set up and take down. Saw is very strong cuts through 2x6 with ease. ... show more

  • Very good quality for the price!
Style: 10" Table Saw
I chose to sell my expensive 10” ground steel table saw rather than transport it when I moved. After a bit of research I decide to give the Skil model TS6307-00 a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. It came 90% assembled with plenty of extras. The cut quality is excellent and the fence adjustment is surprisingly accurate. My only complaint is the table is pot metal molded …. Not ground flat. It’s not terrible but could be better. The throat plate is adjustable but a bit flimsy. One great feature for a saw this price is the blade mount is adjustable for parallel to miter channel. Since the legs fold it stores well. The legs and mounts are quality and render a solid stand. The only real complaint is the miter .. it’s cheap. I purchased a Wnew miter which is a high quality miter that fit perfect. For the average craftsman this table saw is quality. ... show more

  • An excellent table saw, and an exceptional value
Style: 10" Table Saw
When I decided to buy a table saw, I passed over this one at first, because I assumed that the legs would be wobbly. I was prepared to pay more for an 8.25" table saw that didn't come with any kind of stand. A stand was available, but it wasn't cheap. Fortunately, I was in a hardware store and took a few minutes to check out the table saws. Seeing this one, I gave it a little push to see how badly it wobbles. I was sure it would wobble, but it proved to be very stable, the same for intents and purposes as a stand with fixed, non-folding legs. The comparison with the other saw then became a no-brainer. One of the disadvantages of the 8.25" saw is blade selection. Also, the maximum thickness of the work piece is not good. Comparing the two saws, with this one the sturdy, folding stand is part of the saw, for no extra charge, and it is a 10" saw, and it has the same features as the other one, particularly the rack-and-pinion setup for the rip fence. And it costs less. It just didn't make any sense to choose some other saw. I've only had it a few days, but I needed it for a project and I've been using it a lot. I am very pleased with it, and impressed with the quality. I had to make one easy fix to the rip fence. I had to partially disassemble the rip fence, in order to file off a little bit of the end cap at the far end, which was slightly proud of the rest of the fence and would potentially cause the work piece to catch. It took me about 10 minutes to do this. The only notable criticism is one that applies to virtually every saw that you can buy for less than $500. The miter gauge is cheap and practically useless. Evidently, most people who buy table saws use them only for ripping. For everyone who has never used a table saw but is considering buying one, the rip fence is usable only for making cuts parallel to an existing, perfectly straight edge in the work piece. For every cut that doesn't fit this description, you move the rip fence out of the way and use the miter gauge. There is one other trick you can use, with the rip fence, which involves double-stick tape and a secondary board with at least one perfectly straight edge. The rip fence remains perfectly parallel with the blade and the miter gauge slot, as you turn the knob to move the fence right or left. This is a huge, huge advantage over a rip fence the you have to unclamp and clamp each time you need to move it. If you're considering a saw that doesn't have a rack-and-pinion drive for the rip fence, I encourage you to change your mind and buy one with this feature. ... show more

  • Great saw for a begginer!
Style: 10" Table Saw
The saw is light weight, portable, easy to assemble the guard and riving knife, and it works great. I'm a novice so this saw is perfect! I can easily carry it and set it up. It makes nice straight cuts. I highly recommend this product for a DIYer for small wood working projects!
