I was hesitant to get this because I have a normal size circular saw, and I have a table saw, so would I even get a use out of this? ABSOLUTELY! I haven't used the regular circular saw since getting this, it's such an amazingly handy and versatile tool. So much easier to use one-handed than a normal circular saw, and much better in tight spaces (I was cutting some joists in a crawlspace the day I got this and I don't know how I would have survived without it) than anything else.     • Does not quite meet expectations. Pretty good saw for price paid.
I purchased this because there is not an adequate dust extractor for the larger Dewalt cordless circular saw that I already own. Quote directly from the Dewalt website: "Brushless motor allows you to cut up to 369 linear feet of 3/4 in. OSB using DCB205 battery (sold separately)". My first project with this I have been using it to remove 1500 sf of 3/4" European Beech hardwood flooring cut into 12" sections for easier removal and I get at best 30-40 lf of cutting on brand new 5 amp hour batteries ( less on some older 5 ah batteries). European beech is substantially more difficult to cut than osb, but I was expecting closer to 100 lf per charge. Luckily I have several chargers and batteries available. The dust extraction is quite good with my smaller portable ridgid shop vac ( I have not tried it with my full size shop vac yet). I have also used this tool to cut plywood underlayment that was under a 250 sf porcelain tile kitchen floor (which still had Ditra attached to it after the porcelain was chiseled off). It is a decent little tool, I just wish they made an efficient dust extractor for my larger Dewalt cordless circular saw as I could get way more lf without charging another battery. These projects would have been so much more of a dust filled mess without this nice little saw. ... show more

I really like this little saw. I keep it nearby to for cutoffs and to use in tight spaces or high places, where its light weight and versatility shine. I don't know how I managed to get along without it - should have purchased it years ago.

    • Super convenient - feels safer to use
This is one of those tools that I turn to on a regular basis. With a sharp blade, it cuts really well, with just enough cutting depth to make it through a 2x4. The thing that I like the most is the feeling of safety when I'm cutting with it because of the small size of the blade. I've used it to cut wood, plastic, masonry and tile (with appropriate blades) and it worked well on each material. ... show more
